Yep, still alive, still in jail, though he does come up for parole every few years.

Dang it, on the other thread I mentioned this and confused Hinkley with Chapman - two abject losers, guess it’s easy to confuse them.

Depends on the party affiliation.

Doubtful, SS is one of the least partisan agencies in the federal government.

“Just 70 days into a presidency that has become one of the most iconic legacies in our country’s history, an explosive bullet lay inches from our fierce leader’s heart. If you think medicine alone saved Reagan, you better think again. “

Look for the Secret Service keeping a very, very, very close eye on him. He is not going to any place, period.

Intended to send a message—open season for would-be assassins of Republicans. It’s signaling, nothing more or less.
Interesting that James Brady’s death in 2014 was ruled homicide. For that reason alone, Hinckley should remain incarcerated.
But even Brady thought it was the gun that was responsible, not Hinkckley.
So, there’s that.

On the bright side, it does look like Mr. Right has finally come around for Jodie Foster ...

I wonder what the liberals would think if Mark David Chapman were also released.

Attempt to assassinate a Republican President...get released.

Murder a Rock Star...stay in prison.

It's not at all unusual to have attempted murder treated more leniently than actual murder.

Perhaps...but I don’t want to see either of these nuts out on the street.
