More or less, the attitude in NC has been "Who Cares?" Only people pushing it have been the media, and hard-core leftists. 'Tis why the governor and other pols have shown some spine for a change, I think.
As to Springsteen, Cirque du Soleil, and others cancelling shows, the opinion in the circles where I run has been, "Fine, didn't particularly want you and your bunch here anyway.". And they think they're *punishing* us by not blessing us with their presence.... lol.
