Sen. Bernie Sanders rebuffed calls from the Green Party — and a loud minority of his delegates and supporters here — to abandon the Democratic Party and build a third force outside it.
The Green Party, which has never again reached the heights of its 2000 performance under Ralph Nader, has held a series of Philadelphia events since the weekend aimed at persuading Sanders voters to make a "DemExit." Jill Stein, the party's likely nominee, has spoken even as rainstorms shut down meetings, repeatedly calling on Sanders to quit the Democrats and talk to her; Cornel West, a Sanders supporter who was one of his five appointees to the party's platform drafting committee, has appeared at Stein events and canceled at least one Democratic event around the convention.
Sanders, meanwhile, has declined to meet with the Greens and urged his supporters to stay and change the Democratic Party.

All it took was his own plane and a little cash. Elitists have always been, and will always be, the same.
These are Democrats. I refuse to believe this is all a random occurrence. The Clinton’s are known for creating drama and then coming out of it shining. With the Clinton’s, “you cannot shine a turd” is a credo, not an insult.
What fascinates me is Bernie sold out, the DNC offers a weak apology and their followers are content. We need a meme with the Bernie crowd and the words “Useful Idiots” splattered across the meme.
I simply fail to see what this fuss is about. Senator Bernie Sanders, Vermont, was NOT elected as a Democrat, but instead as a Socialist. So why is he upset at not winning the nomination process for a party he does not even belong to? Has he paid any membership fee to the Democrat Party PRIOR to 2016?
Now, logically, I see a resolution to this dilemma in noting that Bernie really has not changed positions since he started this run through the Democrat Party nomination process. Instead it is the Democrats who have moved so far left to the Socialist position that it is unrecognizable to the 1992 Democrats that made Bill their nominee.
