Bernie Sanders started a political revolution. Now he can’t stop it.
The Washington Post ^ | July 25, 2016 | Chris Cillizza

To be clear, not every Sanders supporter feels that way. In fact, the vast majority of them tell pollsters they plan to vote for Clinton this fall. But there is without doubt a vocal group here in Philadelphia unwilling to roll over and play nice with the presumptive nominee — no matter what Sanders says they should do.

That is an issue for Clinton — and for Sanders. A vocal minority in the context of, say, Sanders's speech to the convention tonight could be a major problem for party strategists doing everything they can to present a united front. Anything similar to what happened this afternoon — booing when Sanders mentions the need to support Clinton — would be a major embarrassment for the former secretary of state just days before she is set to formally take the reins of the national party.

The scariest thing if you are a member of the Democratic establishment? Not even Bernie Sanders seems to be able to control these people. The revolution is still happening for them, and no one can convince them otherwise.

It was never his in the first place.

The Democrats are revolting - and in this particular case, that’s a verb, not an adjective.

Sanders was merely a vehicle for the revolt. It doesn’t stop with his capitulation, and may actually intensify as a result.

Democrats were robbed of a democratic process and they all know it.

Both parties need to be fractured, and now and over the next four years will be the best time to fracture both the Democrat and Republican parties.

Hopefully, we come out of this with four or five parties with the Democrats and GOPe being minor parties.

Yeah, we should be encouraging the BernieBots as much as possible.

We got rid of the GOP establishment, now they can get rid of the Democrat establishment.

It WAS us.

Look up “Ron Paul Blackout” (and then for comparison look up “Bernie Sanders Blackout”).

If the media didn’t support Romney in the 2012 primaries like they support Clinton now, Ron Paul could very well have been the nominee; and if the polling was accurate, he would have beaten Obama (RP consistently outpolled Romney vs. Obama in a general election by more than enough to assure victory).

Imagine where we would be right now if we were four years into the Presidency of a man wholly devoted to the rule of law under the Constitution!

Lord of the Flies.

Or, more classically,

And they reap the whirlwind.”
