The mother of the U.S. ambassador killed in the 2012 Benghazi attacks called on Republicans to stop invoking her son on Friday, blasting their references to his death as “opportunistic and cynical.”
“As Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens’s mother, I am writing to object to any mention of his name and death in Benghazi, Libya, by Donald Trump’s campaign and the Republican Party,” Mary F. Commanday wrote in a letter to the editor published in the New York Times Friday.

So when do mothers have untouchable moral authority, and when do they not? Maybe this whole line of politicking has been poorly reasoned.

So, the Ambassador’s mother has exclusive rights to her son’s name? I doubt it. He was a public figure so Trump can invoke his name all he wants.

Well hokay. Why can’t she just raise a paean of praise that he was there like a good Democrat to go to his Democrat Gawd for his Democrat massas like a Democrat soldier, and she wishes all to mourn him no more.
