It was obvious from the description of the speech by the MSM that the meme adjective was "dark" repeated by almost all of them. No doubt the DNC provided the talking points.

It is amazing that the Trump campaign slogan, "Make America Great Again" is somehow portrayed as being negative and not upbeat. Any negative criticism of the Obama administration and how it has transformed this country is viewed as "dark." Obama's record and Hillary's desire to be the third term of Obama are depressing and dark. Two thirds of Americans believe we are on the wrong track. Trump is shedding light on Obama's dark legacy.

Trump’s vision for the future is bright, the dark “vision” he’s described is what we have now, and most voters know exactly what Trump is talking about because they live these things on a daily basis, unlike the elite enemedia propagandists who keep telling us how wonderful everything is even though no one can afford medical care, mean family income is down $4,000.00 since obama took office, ISIS attacks innocents on nearly a weekly basis around the world, our manufacturing jobs have been sent to Mexico and China, illegal immigrants flood the U.S., bringing disease, violent crime and depressing wages, violent black-on-black crime in the big, Democrat-controlled cities is out of control, cops are being assassinated on nearly a weekly basis with the tacit approval of the Obama administration, and much, much more.

[btw, this “dark” meme the enemedia has been pounding on is nothing more than Rat talking points after Trump’s speech that they obligingly turned into “objective” articles.]

God put on a pretty good convention, but while He took a 20 minute break somebody let that consummate lying, establishment sellout, oligarch/asshole, Mitch McConnell speak.
McConnell, of course, is the Harry Reid Co-conspirator/ Majority Leader of the US Senate. God also took the day off on the day that cheap, sordid POS was re-elected to the US Senate. God was back on the job, however, when Matt Bevin was elected Governor of KY.

My point: Pray all you want, but prayer without work is pissing in the wind. “God helps those who help themselves.”

Get to work!

Good summary, thanks. As you point out I think Cruz should have been more specific about what conservatism means in terms of action. Trump is not consistently conservative, and perhaps we can nudge him in a better direction on some things. Cruz could have talked about that.

What shocked me the most was the day and Cruz talking about how it was strictly personal for him. No matter what your profession, even a politician, you cannot base your actions upon personal emotions.

Noticeably absent: Pictures of Trump supporters being egged and tackled.

I can't add anything more to the diaster that was Cruz's speech than you and others have already pointed out. I think this was a moment of jaw dropping self political destruction only witnessed a couple times in our lifetimes.

And finally, a candidate for President who will openly point out the incompetence and corruption of Hillary and her friends in the media. I am prayerfully hopeful that the electorate will agree with us and end any further hopes of the Clintons for political office.

No more PC, everyone knows who these despicable, murderous characters are and they have either been raised in a hate-filled environment or they have embraced it through their associations with other pond scum.

Cops are being killed by Black terrorists.

Really inspiring speeches were given by Laura, Don Jr. and many others but none of them can compare to the awesome knock-it-out-of-the-park speech by Donald J. Trump.

Make America Great Again.
God Bless You.
God Bless America.
