Phil is being far nicer to Ted than what Ted deserves.

I really like Phil. But his choice of friends here is highly questionable.

Ted’s ego is more important (to him) than the fate of our country.

He’s also getting pressure from others to get on with it.

Instead of hopping on the Trump Train, Ted tried to engineer his own path to the White House.

I have to agree with Phil. My first choice was Scott Walker. As one of the talking heads said, he wasn’t even around long enough for Trump to give him a moniker. After that I switched to Cruz and I really line up with most of his views.

I understand if Ted is still angry with Trump for insinuating his wife was ugly and inferring that his Dad was involved in the assassination of JFK. I would feel the same way he does. Trump could attack me, but attacking my family would be off limits and a deal breaker also. However, as one commentator on CNN said, what he did last night was like being invited to the dinner party, eating Trumps prepared meal and dessert and then pee’ing on the carpet.

If Ted was not going to endorse, my feeling is he should have not accepted the prime speaking spot. He should have attended to show unity, but declined to speak. What he did told me it was more about himself than about what’s good for the country.

For Ted, the truth is hard to swallow because he’s too busy choking on his pride.

Ted’s a gifted speaker but showing he’s not a gifted thinker.

I think Cruz is going for a political niche that's currently vacant.

When Ron Paul wrote himself out of the ongoing drama, no one else was written in to fill that role.

Not his fault, but Rand Paul just isn't up to it. He just doesn't inspire the same emotional response that his dad could at will.

While the Cruz character is not the same as the Ron Paul character, they both can touch a certain frequency range of voters who will respond, guaranteed.

That's the niche with Cruz's name on it.

Cruz has a following and the following now has its Cruz.

The show must go on...

An endorsement from Cruz is pointless now. Cruz is toxic. Phil’s message to Cruz should have been to go and “eff” himself. Nobody cares what he has to say anymore. His endorsement, like his word, is garbage.

Might be off there, Mr. Robertson, just a wee bit, in your assessment.

The Republican party has said Donald Trump is the man we want in the White House?

What really happened was the American people had to literally drag this party into reality.
