As stated in other posts I think Donald J Trump was extending an olive branch out to Ted. We will just have to seed what Ted does with it.

Cause you’d like to think that adults could accept defeat gracefully and work for the greater good of their party and their country?

I’m gonna wait to pass judgment until I know what he will say. Later tonight. I am hoping he sees the light.

Because nominating conventions are traditionally and theoretically where hatchets are buried.

If you asked anyone at a Trump rally, “Would it be okay with you if Trump built a wall on the border, and allowed unlimited immigration through the country’s airports?”—obviously they would say “No!”

Everyone has always understood that the Wall is part literal, part metaphor. Both.

I assume because Trump is trying to do what people have been harping at him to do—try to unify the party, bring disaffected Cruz supporters on board, and because traditionally it would be seen as appropriate to allow someone who got a significant number of delegates to speak. What Cruz does with the opportunity will probably determine whether he has a political future, or will simply be known as the ultimate sore loser. like Mike Lee and the others.
Ball’s in his court.

Is Cruz still on the GOPee’s S-List? If so, let him speak at this anti-GOPee Convention.

Trump will always be the bigger man.

Ted’s speech writers will give him a speech that appeals to both Trump’s and his supporters so he doesn’t look like the sore loser he has been. To many, he’s already burnt his bridges. He’ll never get a vote from this Texas household.

Ronald Reagan NEVER endorsed Gerald Ford when he was nominated to run against Jimma Carter.

I wish people would start trying to respect Cruz and his supporters and invite us to join the fight against Hillary with support for Trump.

If we don’t get the BEST TURNOUT EVER, Hillary will win. There are more of them than there are of us in this country today. In that respect, dependence on the government has WON in this nation.

Uh, he is a Republican and was a candidate?
It’s the Republican convention and not the Trump convention.

From what I’m reading at other sources, it seems “the conservatives’ are on Cruz now to back Trump. We shall see. If he does, he probably loses Levin. Pity, that.

To give him a rope to hang himself or to deliver on his pledge
to support the nominee.

Either way Trump wins.

I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if Cruz goes off script and does and anti-Trump rant instead of reading the prepared speech.

Got a call from live person today for Cruz campaign. Said we would not support Cruz if he doesn’t endorse Trump public ally. She stuttered and got off the phone.

Cruz is only out for Cruz. Tonight is his personal commercial to win over Texas viewers.

Cruz speech today was about him and until the end of his speech,he mention another nominee, without saying Trump by name.
Trump had a Fly over about that time.

Hopefully He’ll do right by his pledge..or his word is null and void.

Cruz is going to endorse Trump. He knows that if he does not he’s over. I’ll personally never support anyone who does not do their best to defeat Hillary. You can’t claim to be a patriot and just let Hillary become the defacto commander in chief turning over our military men and women to be abused and used like was the case in Benghazi.

Asking Cruz to speak is a WIN-WIN situation for Trump.

If Cruz throws turds in the party punchbowl it will NOT affect Trump. It will GREATLY DIMINISH Cruz.

If Cruz will "man up" he'll begin to restore his own image, which in my opinion, took a severe hit when he teamed up with GOOFY Glenn beck.

The ball is in Cruz's court. We'll see just how smart and adept he is.
