Jeb Bush's three delegates at the Republican National Convention cost him and his campaign around $50 million each.
After being the 'hands down' favorite to win the Republican primary with an unlimited bank account supporting him, Bush ended up spending all the money his donors had fundraised and losing the election in miserable fashion.
Ever since, Jeb and the entire Bush family have been extremely negative and reluctant to support the Republican nominee. In May, (politically correct) Bush criticized Trump for eating a taco salad.
What Trump did was so insensitive, Bush told Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad. "First, not all Hispanics are Mexican," he declared.
Earlier in the campaign year, Jeb was kicked out of a rotary club meeting just before losing in New Hampshire where he gained three delegates.
As late as January, Jeb was declaring himself second place behind the eventual nominee telling Fox News that "you gotta believe in this."
Newt Gingrich said that Bush was behaving childishly in his absence from the convention and that he needs to get over it.
Newt Gingrich: Bush Family Needs to Get Over Jeb's Loss
Hopefully this highlights the problem with the Establishment. When it comes to establishment spending, there are no limits. That tactic works when you are winning. But when you spend more than your opponent and still lose, it raises questions about your competence.
Wasn’t HIS money.....but I’d ‘spect that somebody else be damned mad, though!

Newt was one of the early supporters of Trump. This is another reason I do not consider Newt as part of the establishment.

How much were Trumps delegates?
When they called out the Joyful Tortoise’s three delegates, I wondered how much he paid for them. I guessed $30 million a piece, not counting the guacamole bowls.
I am sooo damned happy this time around it is not a Bush v. clinton match
Yes, but Jeb hired all sorts of consultants.
So, he was deemed minimally acceptable to the professional conservative class.
At NR and Weekly Standard, they would have lined up behind him like a well synchronized flash mob. They would be scolding us right now for not supporting him wholeheartedly. They would be chirruping that “the perfect is the enemy of the good”.
On the other hand, if you happened to BE one of those three delegates, that must have been one heck of a gig. Free guacamole bowls, for one thing.
...Ouch! Jeb!’s 3 Delegates Cost $50 Million a Pop, No Wonder He’s Mad at Trump...
That’s the type of pricing planning normally paid by the Government for all purchases. Budgeting in a Jebbie administration would have been equally full of such excesses.
As a Texan, I assure we will rid the state of his chosen son in the next election.
Salt the earth and never allow another to darken the day.
Wasn’t this the idiot who bragged he’d win the nomination by losing the primary? It was an act of kindness that Mr. Trump only described this fool as “low energy”.

Ay carrumba!
Well he did say he was a tortoise. So at 3 delegates per presidential election cycle, Jeb! should reach 1,237 delegates somewhere around the year 3666.
*"Ribbbitt,ribbitt...Trump eats kitty litter...vote for me by write-in"
The Bushes have exposed themselves as dishonorable, and the once promising Bush dynasty comes to an ignominious end.
"For example," Jeb continued, "I myself am Hispanic. It's true I was born into a family of New England WASPs. But I realized as soon as I hit puberty that I was an Hispanic Caudillo trapped in someone else's body."
Exactly what I was going to post, but you beat me it!
