Donald Trump is gaining ground on Hillary Clinton among likely voters in the battleground state of Wisconsin, according to the latest Marquette University Law School poll released Wednesday.

While 45 percent of respondents said they would vote for the presumptive Democratic nominee when matched head-to-head against Trump, 41 percent said they will support the presumptive Republican nominee, and 9 percent said they would support neither candidate. Clinton led by nine points against Trump in last month's survey, 46 percent to 37 percent, with 13 percent who said they would support neither candidate.

"There's good evidence here" that the race is tightening in the Midwestern state," poll director Charles Franklin said during the poll's announcement Wednesday afternoon.

Great news!

Keep on Trumpin!

I wonder if we will see an updated poll in New Jersey?

Interesting to see if NJ is a secret battle ground state.

This in spite of, not because of Paul Ryan’s efforts to poison the waters for Trump.

Will Scott Walker help him or is he just going to sit there and sulk?

A 5 point shift in WI in a month, an 11 point shift in FL in less than 3 weeks.

Go Trump!

The more Trump gains on Clinton in WI,
The worse it will get for RINO Ryan.

Good news for Trump.
Bad news for RINO Ryan.

I looked for the sample mix internals for this poll but couldn't find them.

Without knowing the R/D/I distribution it is a little difficult to assess the accuracy of any poll including this one. Past experience is that Dems tend to be oversampled in the early polls but become more honest as we get closer to the election. Just advocacy yielding to accuracy and reputation preservation.

Except for Marist, all the polls show the same trend. The e-mail scandal may have been dismissed by the Smirking Class, but the Working Class took it seriously.

but will Sen Ron Johnson’s fate hurt Trump in Wisconsin? Can Trump win while Johnson loses?

Yes. Any Republican opposing Trump will lose.

Say good bye to Kirk, Johnson and Rubio.

If you’re not loyal to your party, its hard to see why you should keep your day job.

With a 4.5 margin of error. This very nearly a tie, and they still have to dilute it with 200 “registered voters.”

WI is one of the states that could stay Clinton in the rust belt, largely do to the never trump crap by the GOPe there during the primaries. If she is only up 4 there at the moment, then I’d say of the Rustbelt Hillary only has MN and IL left that might stay with her.

Hillary is losing ground

I believe all states are in play right now

her numbers suck

And I believe this election will have a major “Bradley effect”. Trump wins this with East Coast on election night, he will take New York and New Jersey, once that happens, its over. Done
