Ever been to any cathedrals in Europe? Hardly anyone in them except for gawking tourists. Almost zero worshipers. Perhaps that is part of the problem.
Not true...I have been to many, and there are always Masses scheduled in the morning....sometimes 4 or 5...The tourists wander through, not disturbing anything, but mostly afternoon.
