Hanson can speak for himself. Most of my family had already been here for at least two generations at the time of the Revolution, and some as much as four generations.

They were already Americans when they decided to lose the Monarchs.

It was noted by the British soldiers in Western North Carolina that their "subjects" looked and acted different from them. They were no longer English, Scottish, Irish or German. They were a new breed....Americans.

We aren't "immigrants". We're Americans.

Calling us immigrants is a Leftist slur intended to deligitimize the nation.

Oh, my, you newcomers!

I can trace my ancestors back to the Massachusetts Bay Colony, in the mid 1600s.

I tease my husband all the time. None of his ancestors arrived before the 1800s.
