When it comes to supporting Trump, one man is finding it especially hard to be red in such a blue borough.
Gowanus resident Joshua Ramos told the Brooklyn Paper that someone threw a rock through the glass door of his home and ripped up one of his three signs endorsing the presidential candidate.
“I was angry that’s for sure,” he said to the publication. “It’s not fair, you can’t put anything up for Trump.”
The incident happened on the night of June 24, according to the Brooklyn Paper, and cost $2,400 to repair the door.
Ramos, who lives on 11th Street between Third and Fourth avenues, said his biggest concern is the safety of his two young kids. That’s why he decided not to display any more pro-Trump signs.
He told the Brooklyn Paper that he reported the incident to police. They are investigating, but haven’t named a suspect. Ramos tried to convince the cops, without luck, to look into the vandalism as a hate crime.
“You know there’s lots of liberal people around here — they got drunk and did what they had to do,” he told the Brooklyn Paper. “I’ve got my [U.S.] flag up — I’m surprised they didn’t tear it down or burn it.”

Not around my neighborhood.
But I know his neighborhood. It’s tough and a lot of hispanics.
If I knew how to reach him I’d park in front of his house and take watch a few hours a day.
He had guts putting that sign up. True American.
Trump supporters are harassed, vandalized and even beaten.
But the lyin’ left tell you it’s the Trump supporters that are “violent and full of hate.”

I did a google search on 11th sth between 3rd and 4th Ave in Brooklyn and there is one house that is flying the flag. It's at 232 11th st.
