The Dallas shooter used an antique Chinese-made Korean War rifle, the SKS.
I wouldn’t call the SKS an antique...
An SKS is not a bad rifle. There are, in fact, add-ons, with which you can really trick one out. Regardless they are still a cheap rifle.
Police photos show Micah X without his face, and the Saiga AK he used.
yet some are calling it an AK-47.
So what happened to the pictures of a dead shooter and his Saiga AK? Sure would be nice to get something official...but that would be no fun for the endless speculators!
That’s odd.
There are photos circulating of a Saiga AK-74 in a pile of rubble, that is supposed to be the gun that Johnson used.
In NY the SKS in its unmodified form can be owned by the serfs and does not even need to be registered.
Yes, likely. But they can be also modified for detachable mags, and a rear piece can be added for a scope, etc.
In the end, it’s still a 200-300 dollar gun gussied up.
AK 47.....48......whatever it takes.
This is showing an AK-47S.

Warning: Graphic image
You can see the body armor the #Dallas shooter was wearing when he was killed.

I’ve seen some pictures too. But I do know you can add changes that will accept bigger magazines. Also seen some with different back covers that have weavers etc. for scopes. The key is always the included bayonet, either a blade type or quad pike type.
Picture below. It is an AK - why did they call it an SKS?
This is the smoking gun. Literally. Something’s rotten in Denmark, AGAIN.
The safety selector lever on it certainly looks like an AK variant. Also don’t see an integral bayo of any type. Mucho questions here.
Looks like a modified Saiga rifle. Looks like the collapsible stock and pistol grip were added. The shroud is definitely Saiga.
I am sorry - either everyone is incompetent in journalism and law enforcement on such details or something else is going on here.
I also want to see where this guy was hold up that a SWAT team could not take him out. An explosive device tends to destroy evidence.
That is without question a Kalashnikov receiver, not a Simonov. Therefore it’s an AK variant, not an SK.
So CBS is talking out of their collective ass again. What’s new?
