You should have to pass a background check to purchase a scope. Better yet... Ban assault scopes.

A hunting rifle with a scope is a sniper’s rifle designed to kill cops at a distance.
A shotgun is a ‘scatter gun’ designed to spray a lethal swarm of bullets across a school yard.
