Another prominent Democrat has trashed Elie Wiesel — the Holocaust survivor, author, and Nobel Peace laureate who died on Saturday. Dorothy Reik, president of the Progressive Democrats of the Santa Monica Mountains and a member of the Los Angeles County Democratic Central Committee, wrote an email quoting a reference to Wiesel as a “Holocaust whore” and adding: “I had met people who made their livings from the holocaust [sic] but never to the extent that Wiesel did.”
Reik had been defending Max Blumenthal, the virulently anti-Israel writer and son of Hillary Clinton adviser Sid Blumenthal, who had tweeted: “Elie Wiesel is dead. He spent his last years inciting hatred, defending apartheid & palling around with fascists.” Earlier this week, Hillary Clinton’s campaign distanced itself from Blumenthal’s statements.
In her email, Reik also wrote:
Sadly I have to agree with Max Blumenthal. I hope that people on this list do not use this as an excuse to attack my friends and associates, most of whom probably do not agree with me. Why do I post this at all? Because I think it is the truth and so I am compelled to speak out so that we are wary of others who are honored as peacemakers but are not.

Progressives' hatred of Israel is quite intense, and Jewish progs seem less reticent than most about expressing it. The fact that most Christians support Israel just makes the loony left hate the Jewish state even more.
As far as why so many Jews vote Democrat....well....they agree with most of the Rat platform, it's as simple as that. Abortion-on-demand, global warming, the LGBTQ agenda, gun-banning, open borders, and so-called "social justice" for the "victims of white racist imperialists" are their main concerns. The anti-Semitism of a large chunk of the Dem party is ignored.

The same phenomenon is now occurring with whites, with the rise of rabid self hating whites.
This I believe is the result of people unable to deal with the irrational and inappropriate guilt that they feel because the group they belong to is more successful than other groups. This offends their delusional sense of “fairness” that stems from the fantasy that all “races” should be the same.

I have read a great deal about the Holocaust and listened to the testimonies of lots of survivors, but for some reason with Wiesel I often got the impression that to some extent he was putting on an act.
People have an inner radar to detect insincerity and I got this feeling sometimes when listening to Wiesel's public comments. I wouldn't go so far as Ms. Reik; I don't know enough to say that. I'm just talking about the way the guy came across.
I the end, many Jews cling to their culture and religion. To a communist this is unforgivable because they need to contol your mind and your heart.
Jews voting dem really isn’t orders of magnitude more than catholics voting democrat. And among Americans living in Israel, it’s high 80s and low 90s GOP.
