A police officer was reportedly shot in Randolph County on Saturday.
Helfin police confirmed on social media that a police officer was shot Saturday and a person was taken hostage by the suspect.
The department didn't disclose what agency the officer works for and the severity of the injuries.
Lake Wedowee Life Magazine posted to its Facebook page that there is a reported hostage situation in the Swagg Cove Area of Lake Wedowee.
County Road 121 is blocked at County Road 431, according to the report.
The Heflin Police Department posted this to its Facebook page Saturday afternoon: Please be Praying for our Randolph County Brother Officers, Heflin PD Officers, and all other L.E. Officers responding to assist in stopping the Madness in Randolph County.
My mother’s side of the family has some distant relatives there.
Their plan is in action.

You know whats rough? With this current climate, every time an officer gets shot or there is gunfire, the two sides of the issue automatically assume their own respective stances and the fear grows.
I don’t know how that gets rectified. This is even more tense than after Michael Brown, I think.

The only question is if it's already spun out of control.
Now cops are going to be extra alert, and careful when confronting a suspect. This may mean that a perp who doesn’t comply with orders is viewed with suspicion, and that the officer is more likely to use deadly force.
The next black suspect who is shot, and there will be more violence in the streets.
I wouldn’t want to be a cop in bammy’s America.
I note with interest that these incidents are proliferating in the South. That is interesting because the bad shoots by police are pretty much scattered over the US, not concentrated in any one region.
My initial impression was that this was a domestic Maidan set up. This further inclines me to believe the orchestration of these homicides, to drive a narrative.

And the War on Cops continues.
