CLEVELAND — (CNN) Donald Trump’s campaign still lacks a sufficient number of supportive delegates to guarantee that any revolt at the Republican National Convention could be put down, a key committee delegate says.
RNC Committeeman from Georgia and Rules Committee delegate Randy Evans, a lawyer who also works with the RNC and the Trump campaign, estimates that Trump has the support locked up of 888 delegates to Cleveland this month in the event of an effort to unbind delegates, leaving them free to vote for any candidate.

If the RNC is stupid enough to let this idiotic nonsense go one, then they can just forget their future entirely.... This would do nothing but hand the white house to Hillary, which in the end is what most of them want.

That’s completely my opinion, too. The centrists sincerely do not like Trump, and believe that for their own self-respect they need to make some sort of production of continuing to oppose him, but it is completely futile and most of them know it. This is a small group of self-appointed people, nothing to do with the RNC, and not the main body of the Republican voters, even those who supported someone else in the primary.

There should be revenge ballots of incumbent GOP pols this year. All of them. Not to late some places for newbies to primary them.
Conservatives and lovers of the Constitution must grab the country back this election or the grand experiment is gone.
No matter how busy, how old, how sick, how depressed talk talk talk to everyone you meet. Remind them of fact only Trump has a chance to save this country.
Only Trump has been willing to take on the Klintons.

I will NOT stay home but will become a kamikaze voter if they succeed taking trump off the ticket.
I will vote for a libertarian President. I will vote against every down ticket Republican incumbent. I will be a “mad as hell, not going to take it any longer” voter.
I will NEVER again hold my nose and vote for Republican crap candidates.
I think it’s ALL for show. If Trump is allowed to be the nominee the election is rigged so he won’t win. Our votes aren’t even considered when “selecting” a president. But every four years “they” put on a show to make us believe we still have something to do with the way this country is run.
If Trump gets in I’ll re-think my cynical thinking.
I don’t believe this for a second. It’s just being said to convince other delegates that they won’t be walking the plank if the go over to the #nevertrump side. All spin.
