In many states, state legislatures are immune from traffic laws. I have been by Springfield, IL a couple of times when the house let out. Crazy town.
You cannot trust anyone who agrees to play by two sets of rules.

Nancy’s always been one of the biggest ripoff artists around. How could anyone expect her to abide by any traffic laws?

Seemed to me every official in South Korea had flashing red lights, and some sort of placard mounted on the bumper of their very official appearing cars/jeeps when I was stationed there in 1966. I never thought I’d see such indulgence here in the USA, but I just read about it.

" These decrees of yours are no different from spiders' webs. They'll restrain anyone weak and insignificant who gets caught in them, but they'll be torn to shreds by people with power and wealth."
Anacharsis was a Scythian traveller and philosopher of the 6th century BC.
It's nothing new.
