It was probably the most famous hospital visit since Bob Woodward snuck into the room of dying CIA Director William J. Casey in 1987. This time it was James Comey, a deputy attorney general, who in 2004 rushed to the bedside of Attorney General John Ashcroft and implored him not to reauthorize the government's warrantless spying program. Ashcroft stayed his pen -- and Comey, having virtually committed an act of civil disobedience, became something of a Washington legend. He is now Barack Obama's choice to head up the FBI. I applaud him with one hand.

Interesting article by liberal Richard Cohn whose instincts were good about Comey.
Cohen had his panties in a wad about Comey’s “prosecutorial excesses.” He needn’t have worried.
Comey is a DIRTY DEMOCRAT!!!
If FBI Director James Comey was the man of integrity he is supposed to be, he would have given the FBI findings at the press conference and resigned to protest the clear intent not to prosecute Clinton.
Remember we have been here before when Archibald Cox subpoenaed the tapes from Nixon. Cox refused to drop the subpoena, so Nixon commanded Attorney General Elliot Richardson, and then Richardson’s deputy, William Ruckelshaus, to fire the special prosecutor. Both Richardson and Ruckelshaus refused to fire Cox and resigned in protest when they saw a clear intention to evade the law.
I always thought that but why would busy appoint him. The more I see of bush, the more I think he really did destroy our country. Of course Obama has made it worse. I think the presidential ranking on worst presidents are carter Obama bush Nixon. Yes bush is worse then Nixon.
Bret Stevens (or Stephens) made the same point tonight on O’Reilly - Comey’s great at prosecuting people...who are hated by the liberal establishment, like Martha Stewart and Scooter Libby....
