Joni Ernst manhandles Bruce Braley regarding his and the Obama Administration's failure to proactively counter ISIS.

Not everybody that Trump is seeing is for a V.P. I'll bet that was done months ago...
That all may be well and good, but has she had to dodge sniper fire in Bosnia? Yeah, didn’t think so. Meanwhile the evil hildabama is getting her self “re-familiarized” with AF-1 with her tour guide, the lyin’ king. Stunning that she even ranks in any poll anywhere. Nation of idiots I guess.
I’ll be happy with Ernst as VP, or Sessions or Pence or Gingrich.
I heard a caller this morning on Brietbart say that Joni Ernst has been a big disappointment. Not only has she turned RINO but she is not receptive to constituents - this from caller.
If true, I hope it comes out in the vetting process.
“...the Obama Administration’s failure to proactively counter ISIS.”
Failure? ISISIS Barack and Hillary’s baby.
The most evil government in the history of the republic.
She needs to understand that the reason Obama doesn’t counter ISIS is because he supports them.
Better late than never!
I forgot about Senator Sessions. He does have a good track record dealing with the evil in this administration...
...Like a Talkin’ Gowdy.
Phooey!
Before the 2014 election, Ernst was an Iowa State Senator. Not exactly someone sought out for an opinion on impeaching the President.
Never put too much cognizance in a single anonymous caller on any site. Could be a seminar caller or surrogate of those whom Joni Ernst defeated in election. Any poll, however flawed, is better than an anecdotal single caller.
I believe the VP decision has been made long ago. Everyone is mum. The loyalty in the Trump camp is amazing!!!! I need to work there.
The so called conservatives in congress are totally useless.
Obamacare defunded?
Wall built?
All Illegals deported?
National debt reduced?
Federal spending reduced?
Food stamp recipients reduced?
Welfare rolls reduced?
Economy gaining steam?
ISIS defeated?
Military spending increased?
Vets getting speedier healthcare?
Trillion dollar foreign trade deficits EVERY YEAR reduced?
Abortions reduced?
Planned Parenthood defunded?
Conservatives in congress are all talk and NO RESULTS.
They are all career politicians who talk a good game before election, then go on to serve their real masters, their ultra rich donors, who want the cheap labor express speeding along.
The Heritage Action Scorecard gives her a rating above the senate republican average.
She did vote for things like the “Draft Our Daughters” Defense Bill, the extension of no child left behind and for spending on infrastructure projects, which damaged her score but are not deal breakers, at least for me.
The caller was only partially correct. Joni didn't "turn" RINO. She has always been an establishment Republican, and furthermore, she was associated with Mitt Romney (back when Mitt was still interested in Iowa). Joni's senate campaign was quirky and it worked (it didn't hurt that her opponent - Bruce Braley - was so alarmingly BAD), but as far as shaking up the establishment in DC, she's about as much a genuine "maverick" as John McCain. So far, she has only helped to keep the beltway hogs' trough full and their 'nads 100% intact.
She has been a big disappointment to me so far, but I will concede that she is actually an interesting character... albeit not one with any particular qualifications for being VP.
Mr. niteowl77
She beat her democrat opponent by 9 points in a state that Obama carried by 6 points. She clearly knows how to campaign, which is the only qualification that the VP needs to have.
She serves in the Armed Services Committee, Homeland Security Committee..
And also the democrats seem to hate her. This one is listing all the reasons why she is the most extreme candidate ever:

It all sounds good to me.
I keep saying it, but IMO the job of a VP choice is to help win the election for the POTUS candidate. She wouldn't be my choice for POTUS, but I'll take her for VEEP. Reagan chose Bush, Sr. to bring in the RINO wing of the GOP. Trump may have to do the same. And, not to offend female FReepers, but lots of women voters vote with their feelings. I know a guy whose wife won't vote for Trump because she "just doesn't like him", even though this woman is ostensibly conservative. I know a guy whose wife wouldn't vote for Bush, Jr. because she "didn't like his smirk".
This is what we're up against in trying to win women's votes. I do not worry overmuch about the VP becoming POTUS as that rarely happens.
