Freedom involves respecting each other and recognizing the hardships faced by fellow citizens, such as hunger and unemployment...

No. Freedom doesnt involve that. What that involves is good people from the churches and charities.

Freedom is the ability to make your own choices for better or worse without the government telling you what is right or wrong.

The gibberish he’s talking about is communism. As always.

Yeah, wonderful, here is some of the pure garbage that Obama had performed in our White House for the 4th of July:

“Popo” is apparently rap slang for the Police

[”And we hate Popo, wanna kill us dead in the street for sure, nigga”]

Alright
by Kendrick Lamar

Alls my life I has to fight, nigga
Alls my life I
Hard times like God
Bad trips like: “God!”
Nazareth, I’m fucked up
Homie you fucked up
But if God got us we then gon’ be alright

Nigga, we gon’ be alright
Nigga, we gon’ be alright
We gon’ be alright
Do you hear me, do you feel me? We gon’ be alright
Nigga, we gon’ be alright
Huh? We gon’ be alright
Nigga, we gon’ be alright
Do you hear me, do you feel me? We gon’ be alright

Uh, and when I wake up
I recognize you’re lookin’ at me for the pay cut
Behind my side we lookin’ at you from the face down
What mac-11 even boom with the bass down
Schemin’! And let me tell you bout my life
Painkillers only put me in the twilight
What pretty pussy and Benjamin is the highlight
Now tell my mama I love her but this what I like
Lord knows, 20 of ‘em in my Chevy
Tell ‘em all to come and get me, reapin’ everything I sow
So my karma come and Heaven no preliminary hearing
So my record and my motherfucking gang can stand in silence for the record
Tell the world I know it’s too late
The hoes, the girls think I gone crazy
Try and fight my vices all day
Won’t you please believe when I say

When you know, we been hurt, been down before, nigga
When my pride was low, lookin’ at the world like, “where do we go, nigga?”
And we hate Popo, wanna kill us dead in the street for sure, nigga
I’m at the preacher’s door
My knees gettin’ weak and my gun might blow but we gon’ be alright

Nigga, we gon’ be alright
Nigga, we gon’ be alright
We gon’ be alright
Do you hear me, do you feel me? We gon’ be alright
Nigga, we gon’ be alright
Huh? We gon’ be alright
Nigga, we gon’ be alright
Do you hear me, do you feel me? We gon’ be alright

What you want, a house or a car
40 acres and a mule, a piano a guitar
Anything, see my name is Lucy, I’m your dog
Motherfucker you can live at the mall
I can see the evil, I can tell it I know when it’s illegal
I don’t think about it, I deposit every other zero
Thinkin’ of my partner put the candy, paint it on the regal
Diggin’ in my pocket ain’t a profit, big enough to feed you
Everyday my logic, get another dollar just to keep you
In the presence of your chico ah!
I don’t talk about it, be about it, everyday I see cool
If I got it then you know you got it, Heaven, I can reach you
Pet dog, pet dog, pet dog, my dog that’s all
Pick back and chat I shut the back for y’all
I rap, I’m black, on track and rest assured
My rights, my wrongs are right till I’m right with God

When you know, we been hurt, been down before, nigga
When my pride was low, lookin’ at the world like, “where do we go, nigga?”
And we hate Popo, wanna kill us dead in the street for sure, nigga
I’m at the preacher’s door
My knees gettin’ weak and my gun might blow but we gon’ be alright

Nigga, we gon’ be alright
Nigga, we gon’ be alright
We gon’ be alright
Do you hear me, do you feel me? We gon’ be alright
Nigga, we gon’ be alright
Huh? We gon’ be alright
Nigga, we gon’ be alright
Do you hear me, do you feel me? We gon’ be alright

I keep my head up high
I cross my heart and hope to die
Lovin’ me is complicated
Too afraid, a lot of changes
I’m alright and you’re a favorite
Dark nights in my prayers

I remembered you was conflicted
Misusing your influence, sometimes I did the same
Abusing my power full of resentment
Resentment that turned into a deep depression
Found myself screamin’ in the hotel room
I didn’t wanna self destruct, the evils of Lucy was all around me
So I went runnin’ for answers

“Popo” is apparently rap slang for the Police
Dates back a number of years; just the first syllable of “police” repeated.

Anyone who invokes the name of God in the midst of a pile of utter profanity is inviting trouble on himself from on high.

Along with the blatant police hatred and smear, there are nearly 20 occurrences of the “N-word” plus “ho” and “p-ssy” this is the garbage our president had performed in the WH for the 4th of July. Disgusting.

TOTUS makes a good point. Too bad King Obongobongo has no intention of doing what TOTUS tells him to do.

Good Vibrations: In Defense of the Beach Boys

...on April 6, 1983, James Watt, Secretary of the Department of the Interior, which includes the NPS, summarily told the Washington Post that rock music would be banned from that year’s Fourth of July celebrations. In its place, Watt declared, “Now on, July Fourth will be a [traditional ceremony] for the family and for solid, clean American lives.” To headline the revamped concert, Watt landed Las Vegas performer Wayne Newton, accompanied by the U.S. Army Blues Band.

Many Americans viewed Watt’s ban as a rebuke of the Beach Boys, whose West Coast music evoked all-American pursuits—cars, surfing, and romance—and had charted more Top-40 hits than any other U.S. band. The Beach Boys had performed in D.C.’s Fourth of July concerts in 1980 and 1981, but the Interior Secretary characterized their fans who’d packed the Mall as “the wrong element.”

Just when you think he can’t sink any lower, he finds a way.

Good luck to parents trying to keep their kids’ language clean, the President of the United States just set the bar at a record low.

Btw, do you have a source? I’d like to send it around.

I saw the set list earlier and it did include that song "Alright" (which is reputed to be the "informal anthem of the Black Lives Matter movement).

However, when I searched for the set list just now, I found this note (below), which says that while "Alright" was among the songs performed, the songs were "heavily re-worked" to make them "family friendly" for the White House. I don't know how one would make that song "family friendly" without stripping it bare, but apparently a very different, less offensive version of the song may have been performed for the WH.

======================================================

"The highlight of Obama's Presidency"

"Kendrick’s setlist included “Swimming Pools (Drank)”, “Money Trees”, “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe”, “Poetic Justice”, “A.D.H.D.”, and “Alright”. Surprisingly, he did not perform “How Much a Dollar Cost”, which President Obama called his favorite song of 2015. Kendrick also heavily reworked the songs to omit any curse words or controversial language — it was a family friendly event at the White House after all!"
