When the question of whether or not the respondent has a gun in the home is asked, is “NONE OF YOUR DAMN BUSINESS”
An old friend of mine from HS, a lib, but a good guy asked me on my FB page if I owned firearms, I respectfully replied "maybe I do, maybe I don't".

In other news, boating accidents up 30%.

Lost mine in a boating accident. Also lost the boat. And lost all recollection of the place. So yeah, poll me.

Sometimes they say, “A new study shows...”, and that works just as well.

So the government can stop worrying about guns.

Excellent reality response!

So gun purchases and gun manufacturers’ share prices have both gone up, but gun ownership is down. I guess people are buying guns just so they can experience the thrill of having something to turn over to the police during a gun buyback program.

People have become suspicious of the Govt on this and aren’t telling the pollsters the truth

Sure it’s down -NOT. With sales at all time highs???? Give me a break. Most likely all those people who lost their guns in canoe accidents, just haven’t replaced them yet. LOL

Really, If I owned a gun, I wouldn’t tell some stupid survey about it.

Absolutely. I would answer untruthfully if someone called me to ask about guns in my house..

#12. Among those boating accidents was a significant rise in guns falling over the side and lost in dark waters. s/

A CBS News poll about American households owning guns?! “Fake but accurate” springs to mind!

I’m sure it’s accurate. I do not own guns or live with someone who does. I’d be happy to tell someone surveying me exactly that.

Fewer people may own guns, but those that do are very well armed.

“Is it possible that the respondents *lied* to the pollsters?”

I simply cannot imagine that anyone being asked whether he owns something that, though clearly protected by the second amendment, is a prime target of thieves, both the relatively straightforward kind who break into homes to steal and the lying, cheating bastards who work for the government would actually lie about whether he possesses such items. I’m shocked by the mere suggestion, shame on you for asking such a question.
