No - they've decided - We are British first, not Europeans first. This is about the British right to be British. It's not against foreigners.
People who are in the UK legally at the moment will be perfectly at liberty to remain. In many cases, they will be encouraged to become citizens. This isn't about getting rid of anybody who wants to be part of Britain and accepts what that means.

Notice the BBC had to find some 20-year-old know-nothing to represent their emotions. If they could have found some dark-skinned Muslim to make their point, they would have but they probably didn't feel safe going into that neighborhood where there is plenty of racism and discrimination against whites to seek out a quote.

We have all known extended families where some have it together, and some members are a complete mess. Nations like Great Britain were tempered by war, disease, and struggle for hundreds of years. They emerged as a successful people through perseverance and faith in God.
Unsuccessful nations are like dysfunctional family members. They have made a mess of their own lives and their own households. Their own sins have come down upon their own heads. Drugs, booze, sloth, arrogance, infidelity......you name it. One day, they checks run dry. They gaze over at the home of their well off relative. Good family, beautiful home, well behaved and grounded children, money in the bank. The dysfunctionals WANT what the other relatives have, and move in with them. They are like fleas; uninvited and parasites. These are the "refugees." These are the Muslim invaders. These are the Mexican squatters.
Poles will assimilate just fine, old chap. Your grandkids will be as British as fish & chips.
I don’t seem to recall what the support for going in was like for the Brits ... I’m guessing it was never great. So the “stay” crowd wanting another chance to do so, and quickly, come across in a not-good fashion: as if only their desires matter (you can be the “Europeans” were never eager to give in to their detractors when their margin of support was small).

How did the Poles feel about foreigners when the Germans and then the Russians occupied their country during the last century? Were they as accommodating then as the British are now?
Poles are about the least of Britain's problems. Brexit doesn't need to mean "no Poles" but it means "Britain gets to play favorites and it might choose Poles before head hackers."
Hey, this is not about white Europeans. This is about Muslims, Africans, and the rest of the dregs. Poles are equally intelligent and as hardworking as the British.
This July 4th, the Mrs and I will be giving a Polish lady a ride to the airport at LAS. She is flying back to Poland to visit her children who still live there. She is a widow of a multi national electrical engineer who used to move all over Europe. She is extremely anti EU. She told me that the N Germans and Dutch are the most arrogant people she has ever met anywhere in the world-Russia included. The S Germans are completely different.
She told me that the EU is being run by people that financed the Nazi regime during WW2 and since ,ost of the leaders in the Euro nations are money hungry, they go along just to get the financing from the EU in Brussels.
The Pollish are stuck in between.
Didn’t know racism was the issue but thought it was more about economics and self determination. Europe is waking up to the fact that these unions are a means of robbing the most productive and favoring the non-producers. We see the same concept in play here where welfare recipients are as good off as lower wage workers. So where is the incentive to work and where will it lead this nation other than the trash can?
Racists always say stuff like you are racist because you don’t want us living among you nor do you want us to force you to become like us. You object to us wanting to make your country foreign which would make you the foreigner in your own homeland; therefor, you are racist for wanting to survive in your homeland and wanting to pass your heritage to your children, while we want to make your children non-racists by making them like us, foreigners. You are racists, while we are merely needy and greedy and we need, we want to command the abundance your ancestors bequeathed you and we want to invade without war and take control and eliminate you because most of you are willing idiots who will help us destroy heritage, your culture. I get a general impression that
(a) eastern europe is undergoing a depression (well over 20% unemployment)
(b) a large percentage of immigrants to the UK are actually eastern European
