The massacre in Orlando has prompted many demands for still more laws intended to prevent deranged killers like Omar Mateen from getting their hands on firearms. It has also occasioned more radical ideas, including the repeal of the Second Amendment.
That is exactly what Drexel University law professor David S. Cohen proposes in his June 13th article in Rolling Stone, Why Its Time to Repeal the Second Amendment.
Naturally, Cohens writing is full of passion. Anti-gun forces will no doubt laud his piece as visionary and compelling. It lacks any good arguments, however and suffers from the fatal flaw of all progressive demands for more laws to solve problems the assumption that just because a law is meant to accomplish some objective, it actually will accomplish it.

Flush this turd!
"By calling attention to 'a well regulated militia,' the 'security' of the nation, and the right of each citizen 'to keep and bear arms,' our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny which gave rise to the Second Amendment will ever be a major danger to our nation, the Amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic civilian-military relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason I believe the Second Amendment will always be important."President John F. Kennedy

"Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of citizens to keep and bear arms. This is not to say that firearms should not be very carefully used and that definite safety rules of precaution should not be taught and enforced. But the right of citizens to bear arms is just one more guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard against a tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible."
Vice President and Senator Hubert H. Humphrey
I want this turd to defend himself against the 400+ pound black bear that was outside my screened in porch this morning. He can defend himself with a toothbrush.
That should take care of it.
Go for it!
There is an official method for repealing, see how far that gets....:^)
FREEDOM FROM TYRANNY IS NEVER OUTDATED!!!!!!
NOT SO REMOTE ANY MORE
His name is Cohen. Most likely Jewish . Ask him how gun control impacted 6 million of his people.
Sounds like he’s looking for an invitation to the White Hut to visit his god while there’s still time.
Perhaps the Fraud will deign to give a shout-out to him after the next big shooting by a leftist freak.
Oh Deer , it wouldn’t be safe to drive on the roads
This is the kind of guy that would want Israel to ban its guns too.
Let him live over there for a year.
Let him live in Chicago for a year.
Jerk.
When did prof. Cohen realize that he had become a human toilet.
Another anti-American POS that has exposed himself for what academia is now. Hopefully when we have a pro-Constitutional law-abiding president again, many of these scumbags will be out of work and hopefully headed for another country....
Things can change a lot in a half a century.
Not remote at all today.
When did prof. Cohen realize that he had become a human toilet.
ouch , it’ll leave a stain
We need to get rid of the anti-constitutional infringements on American citizens’ right to keep and bear arms. Moslem terrorists and criminals should not be the only people able to freely get and carry firearms. Moslems in particular like to attack soft targets where honest Americans are disarmed, not packing heat or able to offer and meaningful defense.
The turd makes up his brain like most Liberals, IMO.
As one Freeper stated it so well... Only free citizens are allowed to defend themselves with guns. Slave are not.
Cohen and Kuntzman shouldn’t be in America.
