And the Palestinian came into existence with the express purpose of causing trouble for Israel.

Now just a cotton pickin' minit here. Let's be fair. The Arab League, under British officers, bombarded the Old City until the civilian occupants surrendered and were expelled, and massacred Jews, both civilian and combatants in Gush Etzion. They captured all their houses foul and square. So the "refugees" did so have where to go. They just didn't go.

Now wait a minute! The original Palestinians were Jewish! The arabs stole the title away when Israel became a nation not too long after WWII. Originally, Palestinian was a reference to Jewish peoples there, while the arabs there identified as Jordanians, Syrians, Libyans, etc.
