In another article on this subject, the dog supposedly homes in on the scent of an adhesive that is commonly used in the fabrication of flash drives.

I'm skeptical that different manufacturers use the same (or, even, similar) adhesives...

Swordmaker, I was expecting an Apple product tie-in. Maybe you liked the name URL? Anyway, that black lab has very interesting eyes and expression on his face which makes me wonder if he has above normal sense of smell even for dogs? Or maybe the pouch was unhappy being posed on those hot rocks!?
