The real reason why Wall Streeters paid $50k to have dinner with Donald Trump Tuesday night

Donald J. Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for president, began making the rounds on Wall Street to raise much-needed cash for his campaign.

On Tuesday evening, Trump held a fundraiser dinner at the posh New York City restaurant, Le Cirque, with tickets going for $50,000 a seat. The event brought in an estimated $3 million.

Nearly 60 people were in attendance for the dinner, including: hedge fund billionaire John Paulson, private equity chief Stephen Feinberg of Cerberus Capital, billionaire activist investor Carl Icahn, real estate developer Richard LeFrak, hedge fund manager Robert Mercer of Renaissance Technologies, and Anthony Scaramucci of SkyBridge Capital. New York Jets owner Woody Johnson was there too.

“What brought everyone all together wasn’t necessarily a love for Donald Trump, but a huge commonality to make sure Hillary Clinton doesn’t win,” said one attendee.

Over steaks and branzino, he told the group that he'd like to see an agreement reached regarding corporate taxes. He'd like for congress and companies to figure out how to bring the overseas profits back to the US.

"That's the kind of stuff Trump should be talking about," said the person who attended. "The issue is how do you thread the needle to make it an everyday person’s issue? The typical guy in Iowa or Kansas is not going to understand that's a way you bring back economic growth. It's inside baseball."

From the article:

“He had $57 million...and took out 16 candidates, so that’s $3.35 million per kill. [Hillary Clinton] had $183 million and she took out one 73-year-old socialist that wasn’t a Democrat until 23 months ago. She’s going to need a lot more money.”

Now that sums it up nicely...

Had to look up branzino. European sea bass. I’ve had Chilean sea bass, I’m not exactly a stranger to fine dining, but that’s a new one on me.

Yes, and the big news on Yahoo is Donald can’t raise money for his campaign. Then this article is out here. Boy, I wish my e-mail wasn’t Yahoo but it is what it is. Lies, Lies, and More Lies.

“Why have 72 bankers committed ‘suicide?”

I would start with Bildenberg. I bet it is coming from there.

I've seen master chefs cook and serve branzino in a salt crust to keep it juicy.

Salt-crusted branzino.

I had Chilean Sea Bass in Barolo Sauce at La Cirque. Soon after
Chilean sea bass became a protected product and no longer marketed.

Because they are behind schedule. It should’ve been in the hundreds by now.

Of course a lot of us understand the economic dynamics.

The truth is many people do not even know the complicated ins and outs of economic dynamics even exist.

Hillary’s blown through over a hundred million, and is just hanging on by her fingernails. The Donald has spent a fraction of that, and is leading in several key battleground states.

The MSM headline is: “Trump lacks funds”.

Well, he’s right but could as accurately have said the typical guy in New York or Connecticut, The “typical guy” or gal doesn’t get that connection between onerous regulations and businesses departing for distant shores. Too many now only get free stuff.

On the other hand, it’s very easy for that typical guy or gal to see how illegal immigrants will take their jobs, and enjoy benefits that the typical guy’s or gal’s taxes are paying for.

In all of my adult life, I have never seen the presumtive nominee of either party have to go begging for money because his party had rather see the other side win the election.
I am about one Republican establishment insult of Trump shy of voting Trump for President and Libertarian or Constitutional party the rest of the way down the ticket.

No wonder I have mental whiplash. I’m constantly reading Hillary is in the pocket of Wall Street because of her speeches, yet Wall Street doesn’t want the person in their pocket? And now since Trump has taken Wall Street money, he has no obligation to them?

” I wish my e-mail wasn’t Yahoo but it is what it is. Lies, Lies, and More Lies.”

Over a year ago, I was infuriated with Yahoo news which would always pop up before I could check my email. Just reading the headlines put me in a bad mood. However, I soon realized it was worth keeping because the vast majority of people who comment on the leftist viewpoint Yahoo articles feel exactly as I feel.
