Our friends on the Left have faggotized and trannied America, the queer rainbow is the US government's pflag.
Normal people realize that a less than worthless government staffed by tens of millions of overpaid idiots in its sprawling bureaucracies isn't representative of We the People and is inimical to our country, nation, and Republic.
Unless she is crazy, and the dad knows it, he should have been chasing after his daughter too. A parent has as much of or more obligation than anybody else to try to stop a crime in progress of this sort by their own kid.
I wouldn't be surprised if this guy knows his daughter has impulse control problems and he was just trying to defuse the situation.
So she knows how to handle snakes?

Sorry, but I must disagree.
I was raised in a household that believed that to “spare the rod was to spoil the child”.
If I was right my parents would back me to the hilt.
If I was wrong I could count on a butt whipping that would leave an impression.
At the tender age of twelve I did something that still hurts me to know that I did it.
I hurt someone very terribly, not physically but emotionally.
Odd that in the days of party line phones and farmers still using horses that news could travel so quickly.
Mama heard about it and whipped me with a switch.
My butt and the backs of my legs were a bright red when she finished.
Daddy didn’t stop until his belt drew blood from my backside.
They then marched me the two miles to apologize to the person I had wronged.
In full view of that persons family and neighbors.
I then had to walk the two miles home.
I learned a valuable lesson that day.
Actions have consequences.
The consequences are what filters our actions and keeps society civil.
IMVHO this father is only delaying the day on which his daughter must face the consequences of her actions and making society a less civil thing in the process.
Thinking about it now, I never realized how much my parents loved me.
You don’t take such pains to discipline and teach someone you don’t love.
Of course neither of us were there, so we don't know what happened. But I'll take a guess that the daughter did did something stupid (steal a flag). The flag's owner called her on it (Hey! What are you doing! Get back here with my flag!) And the father stepped in (Hey! Leave my daughter alone! Get away from her!)
In a situation like that, I back up my kid and do what I need to in order to extricate them from the problem .... until we're out of it. Then, the hammer drops. (What the HECK were you thinking? Don't EVER.... etc etc etc).
I was taught that discipline is a private matter, not to be handled in front of everyone, with obvious caveats for danger, etc (for instance, a three year old who runs in the middle of busy street is not open to interpretation or discussion). As in your story, apologies, if warranted, can come later.
And a however back at ya! ;)
This kid committed a crime in public.
The theft and destruction of another persons property.
Had that been my child I would have grabbed her by the scruff of the neck, recovered the stolen property and returned it to the rightful owner.
Then I would have forced her to apologize in the same public forum she committed the crime in.
In public.
Then my personal punishment would have been administered in private.
That would have defused the situation on the spot and we would probably have never heard of the incident.
Instead Daddy Carpetbagger made things worse and we are having conversations about it.
Usually the most effective medicine is the least palatable.
I love it, too!
HOWEVER, I think that we can both agree that no kid of ours would do such a thing. lol!
I mentioned this in passing to my lovely wife. She said, "When you were a kid, you did stupid things too!". I replied, "Yeah, so I'll be sure that MY KIDS don't do the stupid things that I DID..."
"Nope, they'll do different stupid things. Your dad's experience didn't stop you, did it?" Game, set and match to my lovely wife. I know when I've been aced.

I wasn’t always so wise, probably why my first marriage ended badly. :(
Seriously though, the difference in the types of trouble that my parents, myself and my children could get into weren’t just generations apart, they were worlds apart.
To coincide with that is the deterioration in the quality of parenting today.
What used to get a kid some serious punishment barely causes parents to raise an eye nowadays.
Just Sunday I was grocery shopping with my mom.
There was a couple, appeared to be late thirties and their four kids.
The oldest and youngest were blonde haired and blue eyed just like mommy and daddy.
The other two I am pretty sure were adopted, because a man and woman of apparent Nordic descent don’t produce dark skinned, black haired children with almond shaped eyes.
Anyway, each of the kids had one of those kids shopping baskets with one or two items in it.
Instead of dutifully following Mom and Dad they were doing donuts with the shopping carts.
It was impossible for anyone around them to shop.
The parents didn’t say a word to the kids. Not one word.
It wasn’t until I asked them to corral their herd that they even spoke to the brats.
And then all they said was “come over here kids.”
On the very next isle we ran into the unruly mob again.
Kids still doing donuts and making life miserable for other shoppers.
My mom had finally had enough.
She looked at me and said, rather loudly, “if you had acted like those four I would have taken you outside and worn your butt out.”
Direct hit!
The slacker parents took their demon spawn and checked out, leaving the store.
Mom and I finished shopping at our leisure.
I can’t even imagine the adults those four heathens will grow up to be.
I guess that’s where liberals come from.
Growing up, I knew every one in my hometown and they knew me. And Mom and Dad. It was a double-edged sword, I had plenty of parents looking out for me, but I couldn't get away with *anything*. It was expected that I behave, otherwise, Mom and Dad would hear about it.
Fast forward 15 years. I lived in the big city (well, not huge, but good-sized, 250,000 people...). I couldn't tell you what most of my neighbors looked like, never mind their names or anything about them. No pressure on their kids to behave, because I had no idea who they were.
Now that WBill Jr. is getting older, I've moved back to a smaller town. Not as small as the wide spot in the road that I grew up in ... but small enough. It's unusual that I don't run into someone that I know when I'm out and about. Folks do some neighboring - not like when I was a kid, but more than in the city. It's a pleasant, safe place to live. And WBill Jr. is learning all about "Accountability". :-)
