Why is this story getting no coverage? Because the Trump assassin is an illegal immigrant like the thousands of illegal immigrants who commit felonies and kill people and get away with their crimes. That is the big story here.

Because when nuts do bad things, the first narrative to explain it is always "Because republicans. And guns." This time the target was a republican and the guy had no gun of his own.
So you have to look deeper and go to the second narrative: "Because of the incendiary rhetoric..." but in this case it would have to be the incendiary rhetoric of the protestors being bused in to harass every Trump rally. So they can't say that.
Third narrative is "it never happened"
