Apple CEO Tim Cook will host a private breakfast for Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan next week, Politico reports.
The breakfast is being hosted by Cook, according to the report, and not Apple itself. The event is expected to raise funds that will help elect House Republicans as well as Ryan.
The move is a sign that Apple remains a bipartisan tech company, even as it has withdrawn its support for the Republican National Convention because of presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump's controversial views and campaign.
Previously, Apple donated support to both the Republican and Democratic conventions, and according to OpenSecrets.org, it has donated to both Republican and Democratic candidates in recent cycles.
But strong government relations are becoming more important to Apple. Cook has taken strong public stances on certain issues in recent years, including gay rights and climate change.

He grew up in Baldwin County on the East side Of Mobile Bay, Alabama. He graduated from Auburn University, Alabama. He lived in Robertsdale, a small potato growing region in Baldwin County.
Baldwin County is one of the most conservative areas in Alabama, it voted 68% for George Bush and there are ZERO Democrats in the elected government of Baldwin County.
I equate Baldwin County to Mobile as Marion County is equated to San Francisco.(except Conservatives escape there from more liberal Mobile, across the bayway)
The city of Fairhope being the Sausalito there.

The title is confusing. It should read, “Apple CEO Tim Cook Will Fund-Raise For Republicans In Name Only.”

Makes sense. It was the Republicans under Nixon who decided to throw in full support for Chinese communists, so now Chinese communists are supporting the Republicans.
Good question. Does anyone know much about Ryan as I really do not. Ryan is not the type of guy that anyone I know and am friends with have anything to do with. Ryan seems to need to much attention, is indecisive, and he is to friendly with Muslims and gays for me.
He is fund raising against Trump.

I actually own a rental house in Robertsdale. Baldwin County is to Mobile what Palo Alto is to East Palo Alto.
By the way, there’s also Gulf Shores, too, a very nice resort town.
