I wiped my old 2 and now use it for Tv in the kitchen where I don’t have cable. Works like a charm while my newer iPad goes with me everywhere.

I don’t understand that bit of conventional wisdom.

Why are we REQUIRED to upgrade perfectly good devices with extremely expensive new ones when the old ones are perfectly serviceable?

I can’t stand Apple products, period, but this is more of a general question.

I am surprised they supported it that long. I bought an Ipod in 2012. I think it was 4th gen. They quit updating it about a year and a half later. Looks like the hardware cutoff for the new Mac OS coming out this fall is 2009/2010.
