And background checks
And “Waiting Periods” for editorials
Time to Boycott the New York Times and its
Advertisers to Oblivion
All that is needed for murders and rapes to continue
is the lying pro-terrorist MSM, such as the
New York Times.
Great comment about journalist licenses.
How about a “no-write, no-report list” for those shown not to be trustworthy?
The more progs push their gun-grabbing agenda, the worse the Dems’ chances in Nov.
(See 1994 midterms)
THE massacre in Florida is a horrifying reminder that terrorists dont need airplanes to kill scores of people...
He made the BIGGEST point AGAINST his argument right there.
the DONT NEED airplanes, guns, knives, swords, bats, blackjacks, brass knuckles, chemicals, radiation, pipe bombs, Molotov cocktails, etc. because there IS ALWAYS something handy to kill people with.
Like a car full of explosives.
BTW, good thing Europe has a gun ban because there’s been NO SHOOTING attacks over there /s
” reminder that terrorists dont need airplanes to kill scores of people”
F*CK YOU
(To the author, of course)
No law bars felons, the mentally ill, drug addicts and people convicted of domestic violence misdemeanors of practicing journalism. Nothing, furthermore, prevents a suspected terrorist from walking into a stationary store store and buying as many pens as he wants.
If background checks could NOT stop a wife-beating guy who knew suicide-bombers and sometimes ventured abroad for weapons training and was targeted for investigation by the FBI THREE times, then WHO would the checks stop...?
Vet who goes on anti-depressants - DENIED
Jihadi kook from central casting - GOOD TO GO
Anyone with an NRA membership.
Gang bangers, OK.
The problem with barring people on terrorist watch lists from buying firearms is that you give them a means of determining if they are on a watch list or not. Generally, we don’t want terrorist suspects to know that we are watching them. If someone is on a terrorist watchlist, and they buy a firearm, it should trigger closer observation. Blocking the sale would be counter productive. The fact is, the FBI dropped the ball here.
It’s the plan.
Mumbai was taken over for 3 days and had over 150 people killed:
TEN SHOOTERS.
What could they do in Vegas?
I would agree if there were a mechanism where you could search the list and to challenge your name being put on the list. All at no expense to the person on the list.
How about a “no entry” list for hopping our border?
My vote:
- Give felons back their right to keep and bear arms as soon as they are released from prison. If it won't be safe to do that, they should have been given a longer sentence to begin with.
- If someone is too mentally ill to be allowed a firearm, he's too ill to drive or to be out in public.
- A drug addict might find hope in the focus and camaraderie of range time and have one more thing tipping his balance scale toward kicking the habit.
- As for domestic violence misdemeanors, if the potential victim is armed, that's one more reason for the thug to grow up and move on. Anyone safe to have out in public is safe to own firearms.
If the gun dealer had refused to sell weapons to Omar Mateen, would he have been homophobic or Islamophobic?
The criminals are going to get guns whether legally or not.
All gun laws do is inconvenience or outright deny to law abiding.
Didn’t one peace loving son of Allah recently gut a French cop and his wife in front of their child using a knife. He only had to stab the guy 7 times. French cops are begging to keep their temporary fire arm hall pass.
How many journalists in the MSM have noted this travesty occurs in a “Gun Free Zone”?
None.
