By running Gary Johnson—a moderate Republican- they lost their whole consistency thing. Johnson is running as some sort of social liberal/fiscal conservative politician. However, he should be pressed on pure libertarian principles and party platform—which is an anathema to the Left—like abolishing public schools, rolling back the New Deal, repealing the 64 Civil Rights act etc. LOL
This year, pushing him in pure libertarian principles would help rather than hurt him — voters want someone who will flip over the tables and shake up the system.
