The Howell man whose impromptu strip tease last month at the Libertarian Party's national convention made headlines across the U.S. has been suspended from the party.
James Weeks II announced Sunday evening that Libertarian Executive Committee officials approved his suspension earlier in the day because of his actions.
Weeks, chairman of the party's Livingston County branch and an announced party candidate for county sheriff, said "the reasoning behind this suspension is their disapproval of my use of free expression in lieu of a speech during my run for Libertarian Party chair at the national convention."

Wrong robot. That’s Klatuu
But, but,....I thought they were libertarians!!! LOL What a bunch.
Maybe you meant to be sarcastic but that’s a really weak answer. For years, we listened to how the Libertarians were the only consistent party because they had a defined rule for every situation. If nobody was harmed or coerced, it was okay.
Prostitution was okay.
Abortion was okay (as long as nobody asks the fetus if they are harmed).
Doing illegal drugs was okay.
So you need a far stronger reason that this idiot’s lewd dance was not “okay” by Libertarian standards.
I was just about to post “but what about that fat naked guy parading around at their convention?” Oh, it was him. Never mind.
Klatu was the Alien played by Michael Rennie in The Day The Earth Stood Still.
Gort was the Robot in the same Movie.
Klatu Barrada Nikto...
That’s Robbie the Robot from Forbidden Planet in the GIF.
By running Gary Johnson—a moderate Republican- they lost their whole consistency thing. Johnson is running as some sort of social liberal/fiscal conservative politician. However, he should be pressed on pure libertarian principles and party platform—which is an anathema to the Left—like abolishing public schools, rolling back the New Deal, repealing the 64 Civil Rights act etc. LOL
This year, pushing him in pure libertarian principles would help rather than hurt him — voters want someone who will flip over the tables and shake up the system.
Realized my mistake after posting. We need an “Edit” option. :-)
