Not just you! Though some may begrudgingly admit it, I believe most real Americans feel as you do, and recognize the enormous debt western civilization owes England. The UK and other member nations of the Commonwealth are some of our best friends in the whole world.

It's terrible to see how far down the wrong path British "leadership" has taken that country. But I cannot say it any better than you: "If they shuck off the yoke of unaccountable, faceless Brussels internationalist bureaucracy and once again go it alone, I will be as proud as I can possibly be."

Hear, hear. It's not called Great Britain for nothing!

They should leave the EU and seal the chunnel for a few years
just to keep the trash from arriving.

“I gasp at Mr Trump’s irresponsibility, and fear for the USA.”

The words of a total fool, coward and a man without balls.

Think back to 1776...

= = = = = = = = = = = = =

Wasn't only 30% or so OPENLYwanting independence?

They - the dissenters - were more organized.

Makes one think of a couple of 'Minority Groups' banding together and picking us off one or two at at time - we say it couldn't be done but....

The rebels, dressed to fit in with the surroundings and poorly armed, continually got the drop on the opposing troops, dressed in Red and marching in formation with drums and fifes turned out to be easy targets...(I seem to remember a passage such as this)

Think 'French, Italian, Jedburghs etc in WWII, the resistance raised havoc with the enemy, enabling the US, British etal to overtake the Nazis etal.

At one point had heard the 'pajama clad' types in Nam were very stealth and raised havoc with the 'more disciplined' US led forces....

The article 'A gun against an Army' comes to mind - and probably should be required reading.

Just because 'WE' are the majority, doesn't necessarily mean we will coast to victory - UNLESS 'WE' get organized.

Great line from the Hitchens article..

"The betrayed supporters of both major parties now feel free to take revenge on their smug and arrogant leaders."

Like others have said - think Trump getting flak from the current 'leaders' on both sides of the aisle while Trump is appealing to the masses, who are - for the most part- generally pissed off about the situation but far too many think they are 'lone, solo voice, in the woods' but I think Trump is going to band them together....

(Another subject - same trend)

I like to 'remind' people that if the 'Natives' of 1492 had met the Pilgrims with such force that they were made to feel 'unwelcome' the eventual 'Invading Army' (US) would not be sitting here wondering what to do with the sudden influx of 'intruders' crossing our borders...

Happened once by 'US', and it looks like it could happen to 'US' again if we give history a chance to 'repeat itself'.

I was in London a few weeks ago. I tried to be respectful wrt politics because I know little about it and its not my country. But from what I could tell, the Brexit side had a great deal of sympathy. The EU leaders may have botched it themselves with all their talk about forming an EU army. I’m sure the British people I spoke with want nothing to do with that.

I have lots of blood and living relatives in GB. I support anything that moves them (or us) toward freedom, peace and prosperity.

Voting for Brexit is pointless unless it is followed up with voting UKIP into power.

Yes that is about right, some put it at a third wanting independence, a third loyal to the King and a third who were neutral.

Today we have totalitarianism from the minority because a large part of the public is uninformed and disinterested. Unfortunately there are probably fewer than 20% who are true conservatives who voice their opinions in writing, orally or through their voting.

The big voices in the “Brexit” campaign like Conservative Party MP Boris Johnson are not really committed to changing things in the end and its folks like Nigel Farage who really mean it.

The cheap labor of the ‘migrants-immigrants’ hurts the poorer working class people the most in the end.

The rich rake in the profits of business driven by cheap labor and use the cheap labor pool to take care of their children and their properties.

Give him a break. He isn’t over here and probably doesn’t even know about sites like FR. He likely only sees the BS media’s accounts. Actually kind of like Americans who don’t seek out the truth when it IS available to those who care about truth.
