European Union governments should agree tighter gun control laws on Friday (10 June) in the wake of Islamist shooting attacks in France and Belgium, despite opposition from some states which say they will hurt only law-abiding enthusiasts.
The Czech Republic is among the loudest critics of rules that EU officials expect to secure comfortable majority backing when the 28 interior ministers meet in Luxembourg on Friday. It argues the measures will not prevent criminals acquiring weapons, but will penalize hunters and collectors.

Its a hard sell to claim you are making people safer by not letting them have self defense weapons that criminals would use aga8nst them without fear of consequences.

I don't think the EU considers indigenous populations full of white people to be "innocent".
As in the US, white people are to be considered racists due to the color of their skin, not the content of their character/behavior/record.

All I can think of off the top of my head is the desperate breaks for survival the Jewish Sonderkommandos initiated against the German/Ukrainian guards in the Nazi death camps in Poland, after relieving the criminals of their weapons.
Europeans know they're being monitored and censored and subject to fines/imprisonment for criticizing government policies.
Europe is paying billions for these corporations to monitor the subjects.
