.. for those who ‎want to label Trump a fascist or Nazi, also false characterizations, sticking anti-‎Semite into the brew is helpful ..

Only in their own minds. 'Anti semite' these days has the same effect as 'racist' or 'chauvinist.' You feel embarrassed for those desperate enough to believe such misapplied cliches have meaning.

Much of the alt right community online is full of
LARPers...who more than anything strive to troll and offend.
There are a few well-known twitter personalities who write very irreverent and seemingly anti-semetic posts, who one of my children knows... and are irl... jewish.

Their targets are often jews... but jewish people on the left, feminists, globalists or the never Trumpers, like Ben Shapiro.
I realize on the surface it may seem very offensive to some, but these kids work in groups in private messaging streams to come up with new memes that they think are funny. And not everyone involved, including my own child is producing this stuff...there are a lot of lurkers.

I have observed that some of the targeted personalities, like Ben Shapiro... actively engage with them, as it’s giving them more news traffic. The relationship is therefore symbiotic.

Yes, there are also some actual neo-nazi’s who pump this stuff out as well, but they tend to focus on race issues, and are not involved in the meme streams.

Kirchik put it this way:‎ ‎"While it's certainly true that most of Trump's ‎supporters are neither racists nor anti-Semites, it ‎appears to be the case that all of the racists and ‎anti-Semites in this country (and many beyond) ‎support Trump."‎

The conclusion is, to put it simply, ridiculous. Is ‎Kirchik unaware of anti-Semitism among ‎America's largest minority groups, especially ‎African-Americans and Hispanics (particularly new ‎immigrants from Latin America), as well as ‎among Muslims? The Anti-Defamation ‎League conducts regular surveys of Americans ‎by group and of populations in foreign countries ‎to identify how many people hold anti-Semitic ‎views‎. If one responds to certain questions with certain ‎responses -- Jews are too powerful, Jews control ‎Wall Street, Jews control the media, Jews always ‎think accumulation of money is paramount, Jews ‎are untrustworthy -- then this fits a classic anti-‎Semitic profile. The United States has one of the ‎lowest anti-Semitic scores in the world, 9%. But ‎it is more than double that among African-‎Americans and Hispanics and many times as high ‎among Muslims. If only the white ‎population is considered, the anti-Semitism rate in America is ‎about 4%.

Does Kirchik really believe that the anti-Semites ‎identified in the ADL survey, who number in the ‎tens of millions if the survey results are extrapolated to the general ‎population, are all Trump supporters? One ‎wonders how this line made it through his ‎Commentary editors. Is Kirchik unfamiliar with ‎the likes of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Rev. ‎Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam, or the ‎incendiary anti-Semitism often found on black ‎talk radio?

Richard Baehr, the author of the posted article, is right on target here, as far as he goes.

But, as a matter of classification of political ideologies, I'm not sure if I would call Trump a "right-wing" candidate, nor would I necessarily classify the antisemitic Trump supporters as "right-wing."

It surely works to the left's advantage to call them "right-wing," as it scares off potential Trump voters by painting Trump's candidacy as a "fascist" movement.

IMHO, the Trump candidacy is neither "right-wing" nor "left-wing," but rather a populist amalgam of proposals from both. ‎

Even if these LARPers think of what they are doing as a joke, it's pretty sick on their part. Unmistakably offensive antisemitic comments that they send should not be taken lightly.

No, I'm not asking the government to ban them as hate speech. But moderators of the web sites that they post on should be diligent in policing them to the best of their capability.

"all of the racists and anti-Semites in this country (and many beyond) support Trump"

Not True.

Virtually all muslims are both racist anti-Semites and oppose Trump.

Virtually all leftist Palestinian supporters are both racist anti-Semites and oppose Trump.

this is really just a twitter and 4chan channel phenom...I understand what you’re saying.. and I was initially appalled. Once I was explained who some of the players were, it made a bit more sense. Can a semite be anti-semetic?

For ex: the use of the triple parentheses... as designating members of the tribe... is now also being used by the people they’re denigrating, to counter the slur. However, a few of the individuals who were originally using it on twitter were jewish, having found it on actual anti-semetic websites...and found it funny. So much of this is being spoofed.. and amped up for effect.

My point being.. while there are actually a small group of neo-Nazi’s on the internet... there is a much larger group of merry pranksters who find the whole thing hilarious, and use the memes for their own devices. From what I observe, they see Trump as the ultimate device for breaking the political correct speech codes... and follow suit by creating memes and puns directed at anyone who takes offense at anything.

This "Lord of the Flies" type of politicking is exactly what is wrong with our system. For those who forgot the book, the boys in Lord of the Flies were stranded on a deserted island. They organized into factions, with one factional leader claiming that there is a vast right wing conspiracy there is a racist over there there was a monster in the jungle and that only he could stop it. Eventually almost all the boys galvanized behind him out of fear, and they ended up killing one of their own friends before being rescued

American politics is descending into this same kind of depraved hysteria.

And yes, the author of the first story chose to ignore the significantly larger numbers of Jew haters in the Democrat's tent, probably because he is blinded by his own bias in support of leftist candidates. For shame.

Also, most leftists are BDS-holes, they discovered it’s “fashionable” to boycott Israeli goods or those that do business with Israel. I’ve known all along anti-Semitism if anything is MORE rampant among the left, until recently just more subtle.
