Will Joe Biden be the Democrats’ next Frank Lautenberg?
National Review ^ | May 31, 2016 | Andrew C. McCarthy

Posted on 05/31/2016 11:52:52 AM PDT by detective

Last week’s shattering report by the State Department’s inspector general drew the conclusion that several of us at National Review have been urging for over a year: Hillary Clinton’s systematic conduct of government business over a homebrew e-mail system resulted in serious violations of federal law. Mrs. Clinton’s withheld tens of thousands of government records (the e-mails) for nearly two years after she departed the State Department. She failed to return all government-related e-mails upon demand. She destroyed (or at least attempted to destroy) tens of thousands of e-mails without consultation with the State Department. And she did it all malevolently: for the manifest purpose of shielding her communications from the statutory file-keeping and disclosure requirements.

The Sanders people will just love their commie getting tossed out for an old grinning fool that didn’t win a single vote. That’ll prove to them it was never rigged, right?

I couldn't write this fiction if I tried....

An upstart 74 yr old commie from a state with a lotta cows, who has never really had a real job is challenging the front runner with multiple investigations and realizes RICO is not a character in the song CopaCabana, who's husband has so many flames ya think he was a Pyromaniac, not to mention trips to fantasy island, and a daughter who ran the foundation who used to be a rain maker, are all going to be usurped by a 70 yr old that reminds you of your uncle who should stay away from the bar at family get together's as you hide the lampshades so he won't wear them on his head and his running mate, well she has a bad attitude, thinks the world spins around her because she was at Haaaavvvvadd and now she thinks she's and Indian......

Beam me up Scotty, their is no intelligent life in the DNC...

Never going to happen.
I know because, I said the same thing a couple of weeks ago and was informed by the all knowing Freepers here that any such switch could not be done. The Democrats pulled it off in New Jersey, but could never get away doing it in the rest of the country because............. well something about it being illegal or against the rules or something.
So if Hillary is indicted AFTER their convention, I guess either her Veep moves into the top seat or they allow Trump to skate in unopposed.
Or something.

Doesn’t matter who the candidate is, Dems can’t win this cycle... only effect is the margin of victory for Trump.

There is simply no way Hillary is going to leave the race is involuntarily, because the RAT Party won’t likely force her out. The ONLY thing that would make this prospect a reality, it an idictment, and I think we all know that that is extremely unlikely with Obola & Co. in control. I just hope that Comey releases everything the FBI has on the Clintons before the election (just before would be my preference), because that revelation, coupled with the pissed off Bernie supporters, will assure a Trump victory.

What a travesty that was.

A clear message to the people of New Jersey that their laws are meaningless.

And what will Biden run on?

Sanders’s people wont vote for him. Clinton’s wont either. Why would they?

Biden will have won less votes in primaries than Jeb.

If something happens to the presidential nominee after the Democratic Convention, be it death or leaving the race due to scandal, the Democratic National Committee will meet en banc in Washington to decide the new ticket.

Remember that no matter what it actually says on the ballot of any state, what the voter is actually voting for is presidential electors pledged to a party's nominee. The party can change that nominee if necessary, and the actual ballots would not have to reflect that.

Should something happen to the president-elect before the electoral college votes, the party's national committee would meet en banc to elect the new ticket. Presidential electors would be notified by registered mail as to the new ticket for which they should vote. This happened in 1872, so there is precedent.

You are right. If Biden were a good candidate he would have been one all the other times he’s run for president. He’s been an invisible VP, and that’s only thanks to the press that covers up his gaffes and stupidity.

” I just hope that Comey releases everything the FBI has on the Clintons before the election”They’ll get a gag order, and nothing will be released.

Biden as vp was the next in line and obvious choice, but they derailed him in favor of Hillary’s dirty money — Moslem Islamonazi dictators and so forth. Now that Biden has turned it down and has not run or got a single vote, to try to cram Biden back in would I think he both impossible and explosive. After all, Bernie has got massive enthusiastic support of millions and millions of voters (and he’s won Twenty primaries already). Many of these people will vote for mr Trump if Bernie is frozen out. Just saying - the Hillary/D party corruption is finally boxing itself into a corner. The loser’s corner.

Biden was Obama’s impeachment insurance. He was selected because he was so unsuited to President, nobody would ever dare impeach Obama because Biden would take his place

Now Biden is the Democrats savior and great hope?

Initially, was reported that Biden was selected because the Obama team didn't really know any DC insiders, and Biden emerged because of all of his contacts and associations throughout his Congressional career that he could bring to an Obama administration.
