'Moron' docs asking "that" question. Is it mandated under the obie care rules and regs? MYOB.

So-called “trans-genderism” and homosexual practice are also mental illnesses.

If she has to ask about guns, she would rather be able to distribute information on gun safety for kids....
Is there some part of medical school that covers evaluating the vaildity of gun safety information? If not, what is the doctor's expertise that provides a basis for distributing such information?

This one is actually pretty easy to shut down, or so I have heard. If you get this question at the doctor's office, as the following questions back to the doctor:

1. Did you receive medical training pertaining to health evaluations or diagnosis on the basis gun ownership? (they'll say 'no.')

2. Does your licensing board know that you're performing diagnostics for which you have not been trained?

That should shut them up pretty quick.

Wrong question.

It should be, "Is the lock working properly on the big gun case that you have for your $10,000,000 collection.?"

If this were truly about “gun safety”, each new patient would get a trifold glossy pamphlet explaining safe storage for guns and ammo along with other safety information. Every patient would get one, whether the MD thought they were gun owners or not. The MD then could ask, any questions?

But they are asking about guns and putting it in a database. The only reason you collect data is to use it.

In some cases they ask the child these questions if the parents do not cooperate, so it’s the data collection that is important to them, not the “safety”.

this is what the communists do.

GUILT is part and parcel of REEDUCATION CAMPS

GUILT of a status
GUILT of exercising a right

GUILT=CONVICTION

CONVICTION = CRIME

We should turn this into “are you now or have you ever been a member of the Democrat Party...”

Just answer “NO” to that question. None of their business.

Stein says it’s a Catch 22: She wants her patients to be safe, but she doesn’t want to invade their privacy.

The personal safety of patients isn't the business of doctors. Only medical issues are. Advising you to exercise and eat a healthful diet is appropriate. Advising you against things like not wearing your seat belt, living in high-crime areas, or running with the bulls in Spain is NOT appropriate. Like gun ownership, anything not medically-related is none of their damn business.

Do you despise the Founding Fathers? One uncomfortable question deserves another. People who hate the Bill of Rights hate freedom and that’s a mental illness. You see it in communists, muslims, etc., and I’ll be damned if I’m going to put up with it in my doctor.

From the linked article: "... and the third is patients in at-risk demographic groups such as middle-aged older white men, ..."

"Middle-aged older white men"? I used to be in that group. Fortunately I am now much safer now. I got older.

‘She wants her patients to be safe, but...’

OK, so what about collecting this info and/or knowing it would safeguard the patient? None that I could determine. To me it seems like an ‘in’ for nosey govt types to someday kick your door down under the guise of public safety.

Ive never been asked this question but know Id tell the doc we’re done with each other and leave. Its none of his business. It also has no bearing on why Im there to see him.

  1. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand (or treat).

  2. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals. …
Disarming the public is not explicitly stated among the communist goals for the USA, but one of the means is spelled out here.

Lie. The one Doctor who has ever asked me grew up with my mom and uncle, knows my uncle used to have his FFL and grew up hunting our our farm so he knows but when he asked, I responded with “I moved here from CA, what do you think?” He laughed and said “I’ll put down “no” and end of discussion.

Also, my daughter will never be alone with a pediatrician and teach your kids they don’t have to answer.

Medical imperialism. They want to be involved in everything. By hyperbolic logical extension one could claim that EVERYTHING you do affects your health.

People accept this. This is where you get all these “safety” laws. Anything you do might hurt you and the govt might have to cover the medical costs so it’s okay to force people to do all sorts of things to protect their health and it means your neighbors can decide that you need to wear a seatbelt because it might cost them a nickel if you get hurt and it’s for your own good..... yada yada yada.....

A nation of whining crybabies who have thrown all responsibilities to the govt. Wah wah. You upset me. Wah wah. The govt will punish you because I feel uncomfortable. Wah wah.

You’re not under oath folks.

Telling the truth is honorable, but if a burglar asks if you have any jewelry, do you feel obligated to answer yes? The doctor is acting as an agent of the government. Look the doctor straight in the eye and say ‘No, I have no guns’. In at least one database you’ll be listed as gun free, and you never know when that might help down the road.
