Don’t get me wrong; I have the highest respect for Japan and her people. Smart, hard working orderly and largely law abiding. But when it comes to World War 2, they were 100% in the wrong and noboby owes them an apology for anything that happened to them.

That got me thinking. Certainly Obama has been to Oahu often enough since becoming president. Has he ever once gone to Pearl Harbor and done any kind of commemoration for the American war dead? Has he ever stood atop the Arizona and wept for our lost countrymen? (That last one was a rhetorical question, as Obama does not see the hallowed dead entombed there as his countrymen.)

I completely disagree with his assessment that the Russians would have taken half of Japan

It completely disregards the logistics required for over water invasion

The German were stop from invading Britain by the English Channel... the same channel that frustrated Napoleon or the Spanish from going into Britain ( and Japan has a similar history of frustrating Invaders because of the “Water Gap” between China Mainland and Japan ...its what protected Japan from being invaded for two thousand years)

the allies to go back across the channel in 44 for the Normandy invasion required a massive build-up of Naval forces and sealift..it took years of Planning and Building

the US had built up even more massive forces Naval and sea lift for the planned invasion of Japan

Yet some people seem to think the Russians were magically going to be able to walk across water (or roll across water with tanks and supplies) having not spent anytime building up the type of forces for and over water invasion..... it's completely irrational... and defies any historical comparison...

Land armies throughout history have always been stymied by cross water invasions it requires a completely different military infrastructure to be built and the Russians had not built it because they had not needed it against the Germans

the Russians did not have the Navy or the sea lift capability to launch an over-watered invasion in force of Japan

the Russians would have dominated on the mainland but been stuck trying to go in Japan unless they hitched a ride from Uncle Sam's Navy into Japan...and the US Navy was going to be fully occupied transporting American forces and supplies for our planned invasion...in 45 the US held all the key navel military assets for any access to the Japanese Islands
