Protesters in Paris attacked a police car with two officers inside with iron bars and set it alight in a dramatic unleashing of new anti-police violence, as officers across France took to the streets to denounce violence they say has been repeatedly directed at them.

An investigation for attempted homicide was filed, Paris police chief Michel Cadot said. One officer was hospitalized.

Protesters in Paris and elsewhere alleged the police have instigated the violence during a series of demonstrations against a controversial labor reform. …

The Second Coming

Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Let me see if I interpreted this correctly

Police in France took to the streets to protest protesters and protesters attacked a car with 2 cops in it and set it afire.

Now we need a protest march to protest the protestors protesting the protestors.

Got it...

Uh...why not just start rounding up the protestors, whisk them to the airport and deposit them in the desert somewhere. If someone feels charitable, they may even land the planes before depositing them.

Only confirms that the police have a genuine grievance...

Attacking the police seems to be a tactic shared by the French left and local Muslims (no surprise).

I think respect for the police on the street in France has generally risen because they probably saved lives by their fast and brave reaction to the recent Paris terrorist attacks.

The fact that their police is reduced to marching protests like upset housewives is indicative of a serious breakdown of order, and the fact that a cop car got burned DURING said protest is a sure sign that a crackdown is in order.

Import ‘slimes, create chaos, offer dictatorship as a solution to the loss of civility. Rinse and repeat.

Being of the somewhat dubious and cynical sort, that certainly can be a backhanded compliment OR is it such childish drivel that only a child could comprehend?

OR both????

You must realize two of my favorite ‘sayings’ are

I HATE PEOPLE WHO HATE.

I AM NOT VERY TOLERANT OF INTOLERANT PEOPLE..

Not a backhanded compliment at all; I considered it a clever phrasing, and a tongue twister.

As a career cynic myself I should have vetted my post better.

Thanks...
