Katie Couric’s gun control documentary “Under the Gun” was released May 15 without any portion of a four-hour interview conducted with John Lott, Jr.
Lott is president of the Crime Prevention Research Center and a known gun scholar whose seminal work is More Guns, Less Crime.
On May 6, Lott tweeted that he had been “interviewed for 4 hours” for Couric’s film and he “bet” that four hours would be reduced to a “select few minutes” of actual screen time. The reduction happened alright. But instead of using those select few minutes, Couric and director Stephanie Soechtig cut Lott’s interview altogether.

I see from this and the story on the Brady Campaign pressuring Schumer that there will be a major gun control push this summer tied to the Hillary campaign. I’m just fine with that.
It is nothing but a Mockumentary, not a Documentary.

John Lott did a great job if in four hours of questioning he never said anything that could deceive the public when taken out of context.

LOL, the NY Times, Katie, etc. All the libs either fabricate stories ore leave stuff out.
The media is corrupt, just like Trump has been saying. Now they hate him and run lopsided reports as news and the public sees this and Trump gets more support.

We all know this is not John Lott’s first rodeo in dealing with the media and their agenda. I’m surprised he didn’t create some ground rules. In his case, I’d have had my own camera crew or even just an innocuous camera in the corner of my office. Also, always do such interviews on your own ground, not their studio.
