Rhodes won't show: White House raises 'constitutional concerns'
Washington Examiner ^ | May 16, 2016 | Pete Kasperowicz

Posted on 05/16/2016 7:35:33 PM PDT by Roos_Girl

The White House told the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Monday that Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes won't be testifying on Tuesday about his controversial comments on the Iran deal.

In a letter to Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, Neil Eggleston, counsel to President Obama, said it would raise "constitutional concerns" if Rhodes were to testify. He also said Congress has been consulted enough.

"While the administration will continue to consult closely with Congress on this important matter, testimony by one of the most senior advisers to the president raises significant constitutional concerns rooted in the separation of powers," he wrote.

"Specifically, the appearance of a senior presidential adviser before Congress threatens the independence and autonomy of the president, as well as his ability to receive candid advice and counsel in the discharge of his constitutional duties," he added.

Yeah. If there's one thing that defines Bath House Barry, it's that he's a stickler for the Constitution.

It's for the best anyways. Rhodes would just run rings around those idiots.

Who could imagine that Obama and his regime would finally discover a use for the Constitution (other than as toilet paper, that is)...

Congress is made up of the trusting idiots who couldn’t see the truth.

Sometimes the administration actually tells the truth! So the fact that the administration lied to Congress and the American people raises Constitutional questions? Tell us something we don’t already know!

At this point I think the guy could show up and say, Yep, we totally lied to you about everything and we’ve given Iran all the intel they need to complete a testable bomb within the next 6 weeks, and absolutely nothing would happen.

One of the articles of impeachment being drawn up against Nixon is that he lied to the American people.

But Congress won't move against a Dem in the White House, or the White House will release all the proof they have of the Republican'ts in Congress doing little boys. *cough* Hastert *cough* was it Foley with the page boy in Florida *cough* "wide-stance* from Idaho *cough* might they just be the tip of the iceberg? *cough.

Somewhere I missed in the Constitution where one the President’s enumerated powers is the ability to defraud Congress into approving an international treaty.

B S. If he gave a darn about the American constitution, he would not be in our White House to begin with.

Grifters anyways. Every last one of them. Got theirs at the expense of country and countrymen. It’s so past time to do anything about it. The people have no representation. But hey football and the Kardashians are still on, so let the normalcy bias and welfare state reign. Prep on!

Rhodes would just run rings around those idiots.

He has a background as a creative writer? He couldn't run no rings around anybody. He's a stupid weasel putz and an Obama lackey.

Remember, Obama can't stand to be around anyone that outshines him or is smarter than him. Therefore, all of his people are pretty much unintelligent. And if you don't believe me I have two words for ya'... Joe Biden.

Translation of the WH statement: He knows where the bodies are buried so we can’t have him making any statements to Congress.
