Cruz is now officially done in politics. He will never win re-election in Texas. His wife, who clearly despises him, will leave him. His kids hate him too. I project a descent into alcoholism.

Just when we'd FINALLY struck a good balance between devotion to global commerce and lipservice to "traditional values," Trump comes along!

The right would be wiser to negotiate with Trump’s very prominent and popular centrist voice, than to attempt to overwhelm it.
I see delusions of rightist grandeur, unfortunately. Not good. This will mean a weaker influence in the end, rather than a stronger one.

He would have done better for himself, the party, and the country, if he had gone into seclusion for a few weeks to deal with the upset of losing.

And they blamed Trump for being divisive to the party when in fact the divisive one os Cruz, and was all along. I’m thinking he was the one who started the divisive rumor thing to begin with. His subsequent behavior certainly suggests it.

Disappointing, but Cruz has been showing his true colors repeatedly this entire election season. I would have expected nothing less from him, or from his followers who have treated Senator Sessions very badly also. At this point Cruz will not be happy unless he is congratulating President Hillary.

Cruz blew it. A lot of Republicans were favorably disposed towards him at the beginning of the primaries. His debate performances failed to match the hype. Rather than articulating a conservative counterpoint to Trump, he focused on day to day nonsense. When he went along with libs and blamed Trump for violent protestors, he lost his credibility. He’s a little, or maybe a lot, tone deaf.
