Thanks, but I don’t need someone else’s analysis to tell me that the NeverTrump people are a bunch of stupid destructive jackasses. I kind of figured that our from the getgo.
The #NeverTrump people are emotionally arrested in about the 8th. or 9th. grade.
They are the ones who have been running our only opposition party.
THAT right there is your problem.
I don’t have to read all of it to know that I agree with him. I am a member of “anybody but Hillary”!
“the pro-life cause... will have more of a future under Trump than they would have under McCain...”
How?
Hey, no hard feelings! Make yourself comfortable while I assemble your welcoming committee:
I voted for Cruz. Would do it again. But at this point, the deal is closed. And to all of the NeverTrumps look at it like this - sure, hes wrong on some conservative issues. But Hillary is wrong on EVERY conservative issue. Who would you rather have in office, that one wrong on some issues or the one wrong on every issue?
I know which one Id choose.
I dont even understand what they are angry about?
I can get if Trump won by steal delegates and crowing about how “it’s in the rules”,
But these people are just PO’d at the fact that the voters did not subscribe to the idea that Cruz was entitled to the nomination, so they (the so-called true conservatives) are going to help Hillary.
I did the same thing.
Jack has it right
I am a libertarian but agree that the nevertrump contingent is nuts
The #nevertrumpers represent about 2% of the GOPe. They are somewhere between Lindsey Graham and JEB. Unfortunately, they have control of some media outlets that make them appear to be larger than they are.
Additionally, because the “news” needs ratings, they give these people a voice.
Trump has said he does not need a unified Republican Party to win. He has said he is going to court Bernie Sanders supporters I am all for letting him do just that if he wants to.
He is running on higher taxes, higher minimum wage, Printing even more money to cover debt, Single Payer Govt Run healthcare, disbanding NATO and turning his back on Israel. That is not even the most moderate of Republican platforms and I wont have him doing that in my name.
It sounds like the same stuff Obama has gotten away with for the last 7 years and just because there is an “R” next to his name I’m supposed to get on board? Not going to happen
To insult Trump is to insult his voters. That is exactly right, and it is exactly why Jack Kemp - whom I had previously followed assiduously - imploded during the 1996 VP debate with Al Gore, and ceased being presidential timber in my eyes.Al Gore complimented Kemp that he was not a racist like the rest of the Republican Party - and Kemp accepted it as a compliment.
In so doing, he effectively called me a racist - and I ceased thinking Jack Kemp should be POTUS. It was a pathetic performance.
