I dont even understand what they are angry about?

I can get if Trump won by steal delegates and crowing about how “it’s in the rules”,

But these people are just PO’d at the fact that the voters did not subscribe to the idea that Cruz was entitled to the nomination, so they (the so-called true conservatives) are going to help Hillary.

Full disclosure: I’m saying this as someone who does hostile engagements with Cruz-voting Never-Trumpers often.

Having said that, the Cruz Never-Trumpers are finding common cause with the establishment Never-Trumpers, go figure. As for the ones who were genuinely conservative, I think it’s because they’re grieving, and have been ever since South Carolina, or maybe Super Tuesday. You can even trace the stages of grief.

Denial: The idea that Iowa will change everything.
Anger: Guess.
Bargaining: Caucus and delegate counting and the whole second ballot mess.
Despair: What’s going on now. Some of that despair is expressed through spite.
Acceptance: We’ll see.

Personally, I tend to smack down those who are spiteful. Maybe I shouldn’t, but I do. Those who are just depressed often respond to a little tender loving care, or at least empathy with the fact that they’re grieving.
