Considering the long history of legislative abuse carried out by the insufferable GOPe, and knowing the only way to rid the apparatus of the corrupting infection is to cut out clear margins, Donald Trump would be well advised to take Paul Ryan up on his offer to resign his chairmanship at the national convention.
In addition, and considering the patriotic bench available for immediate dispatch, Donald Trump could request Reince Preibus resign from his post as RNC head and immediately replace him with a more favorable and competent executive.

First he should invite Ryan to seriously and honestly join the revolution. It may already be too late for Ryan. He has problems at home enough to keep him occupied until early November, unless he is tired of working in Congress. He may already have a better offer.
I agree with the author that there is a tremendous bench out there that may not have DC-syndrome just yet.
Ryan and Preibus has aided and abetted in orchestrating the great fraud of GOPe leadership which has been entirely complicit with the socialist/globalist agenda. They not only need to be removed but reviled and kicked out of the party.
The Establishment folks are playing right into the Trump movement.

What makes you think he's worried about getting them on his side? he's exercising a little bit of Statesmanship by not making a rash decision w/o a chance to fully analyze all the options and ramifications of the options. He has them by the balls and he and they know it.
One reason Ryan’s resignation should be accepted is that the Convention would give him free publicity as a leader just before his primary. Whatever works best to assist in the Cantorization of Ryan is what would make me smile. <^..^>

I know he’s trying to be statesmanlike, but he needs to get rid of Ryano and Prebus. Those guys are bad news and They are replaceable.

Another option would be for Trump to appoint a “Co-Chair” to “work/supervise” with Ryan keeping a very close eye on what he is doing. So how that goes.
