Ted Cruz Coalition Want Bathroom Laws In Republican Party Platform…
Conservative Treehouse ^ | May 9, 2016 | Sundance

Posted on 05/09/2016 2:06:48 PM PDT by COUNTrecount

This story is an example why the republican party consistently loses against the progressive left. In response to the ridiculous, albeit recent, NC bathroom laws (which the MSM are having fun bashing conservatives on the head with) the Ted Cruz constituency wants to write bathroom laws into the 2016 republican party platform.

Yes, yes, unfortunately that’s the modern right-wing cultural GOPe. Look over there, shiny thing, shiny thing… quick, go chase it….. quick make a law to control it…. bathrooms, gays, transgenders… oh noes, the humanity !

WASHINGTON DC – After he lost the Republican nomination, Sen. Ted Cruz’s backers will now reportedly pivot towards trying to gain control of the GOP’s platform during the national convention.

According to The New York Times, top Cruz aide Ken Cuccinelli wrote in an email to supporters urging them to come to Cleveland in July to “protect against liberal changes to our platform.” Cuccinelli confirmed the effort to the Times, telling them that Cruz’s backers seek to protect “movement conservatism,” including a firming of the party’s core positions on abortion and the addition of language regarding transgender bathroom use.

“We want to have girls go in girls’ bathrooms,” he said, alluding to how presumptive nominee Donald Trump has taken a more liberal position than Cruz on which bathrooms transgender individuals can use. (read more)

Bathroom monitors? Really? That’s what the Ted Cruz wing of the republican party is worried about… being the bathroom police?

Personally, I’ve come to the conclusion the GOPe actually meets behind mahogany doors and picks out things -intentionally- to make issues out of and give the republican party the public appearance of insane nuttery. I’ve come to believe they do this on purpose as party of the entire construct of the UniParty…. there can be no other reasonable explanation.

I’ve always thought that these low-privacy situations were dubious anyhow, just because of the faggots (so sue me for using the word). I would not mind seeing public pressure for them to evolve to afford better privacy to patrons. Before you step out of the shower you should have at least your undergarments on.

Something general that leads states to experiment.

My concern is not the true transgender who simply needs to use a bathroom. My concern is the guy who just wants to get into the girls room to ogle or peek, and would be able to just waltz into one whenever and wherever.

How about 3 rooms, ——— men’s, women’s, whatever.

If persecution of Christian bakers, wedding-photographers, and the free reign of perverts to ogle little girls in ladies’ restrooms are just minor ‘religious’ issues to be ignored by ‘conservativism,’ then I have no interest in conservatism anymore. No interest in conservatism, nor the GOP, nor the survival of this sick, depraved excuse for a country, which is what things have come to.

Do you not notice the feds going after NC? It’s already federalized.

But if it makes you happy your position is winning...

“”that Cruz’s backers seek to protect “movement conservatism””

Hmmm....Seems a strange phrase to use for this subject..

And Ted wants to inspect everybodys genitals before they can go tinkle. —DIGGER

DIGGER IS AN IDIOT. He thinks it’s OK for men to go into women’s bathrooms whenever they want.

Digger mocks Godly leaders like Ted Cruz who think grown men going into girls showers is sick, twisted and disgusting.

Digger should go back to libertine Australia!

I disagree with this law because there already are plenty of laws on the books preventing men from entering women's rest rooms that have worked as well as any law can.

Why do we need one more law that says the same thing and is no more or less enforceable than those already on the books

This just invents another wedge issue to divide the American people with manufactured, false issues

You have the sequence wrong.

It was The City of Charlotte that passed a law changing things.

North Carolina rolled it back to where it had been before Charlotte acted like jerks.

Ok. Fine with me.

Can’t you see how the Dems are playing you guys like a violin? They toss out these obscure things that will never affect you or your children (if you are on the ball just a little bit.). And you get all worked up about it. And they know how you are going to react. Then, you guys want to add this crap to a winning campaign—and kill it over religious ideals.

I don’t like gay folk parading around. But they don’t hassle me. They don’t try to recruit me. They leave my kids alone.

Have you ever seen a transvestite in the bathroom, anywhere, anytime. In your entire life?

You have more of a chance getting hit by lightning than seeing a transvestite in a public bathroom.

All of this holier than thou crap belongs with the states.

We want to STOP LOSING ELECTIONs!

They leave my kids alone.

You didn't really say that. Unless, of course, your "kids" are girls.

Well, I did see a man in the ladies bathroom once and he was peering under the stall next to him.

It apparently happened often enough, that the manager at the gas station told his assistant to get him out of the bathroom by name.

A year later, the bathroom was relocated so that it could only be accessed by going inside the building.

I don’t see why people born with a penis, should be allowed in the ladies bathroom, nor is there any sense to people born with a vagina to be in the men’s bathroom.

While it is important to protect minority rights, it is also important to protect the rights of the majority, and that is just not happening.

More and More the majority of the people are being forced into accepting rules that infringe on their rights, safety, and beliefs.

That can only happen for so long, and then there is bound to be a back lash.

Should it be part of the platform? That’s another question entirely, but believe me when I tell you that people here think that is just one more of the incredibly stupid things that the liberal politicians are doing-the Dems positions defy common sense.

Of course the Fed's made it a Federal issue because NC made a specific law targeting it!

NC had laws already in place to deal with this issue, there was no reason for a new law.

So every transvestite is a pedophile?

You really need to read something other than the bible. And clearly you are not reading that very well.

Yes, in reaction to the NC law which made a specific issue out of it!

Why not enforce the laws on the books that deal with lewd behavior instead of creating new, unenforceable laws, that do nothing, but make people feel good!

Undercover cops are in public restrooms all the time.

That was how Sen. Craig Livingston got busted.

There are laws in place against lewd behavior that can be easily be enforced without getting the Feds involved.

We all support privacy and security, the issue is how to protect them.

We don't depend on the Federal government to do so.

While all political issues have a moral foundation, not all moral issues have a political answer.

No, but 80% of faggots admit they were molested as a kid. The other 20% either weren’t, or won’t admit it.

Don’t believe me...just ask some of your friends.

It’s not the fed, ftD. It’s a political party, and it’s a political party that tends to prefer state by state solutions but still puts the issues in their platform.
