What is "Conservatism"? Certainly not what he BushBabies have foisted on us these past years. 41 tanked the successes of Reynaldus Magnus. The Donald seems to want to return to a more American, Reagan-style conservatism. Sounds good to me.

But McCain and Romney were conservative? We had to hold our nose for those jackholes...but TRUMP is no good? The GOP deserves to die.

I don’t care. I’m a Cruzer and I stand by the pledge like I held my nose for McCain and Romney. I’ve said I’ll hold my nose and throw up in the parking lot afterwards voting for Trump but I will still vote R.
I detest Trump but can’t believe he’ll be worse than Obama or Hillary.
I can’t believe even for a second that the wall will be voted on and approved for a Trump sig.
I think they are worried about after letting Obama do EO for 8 years they fear Trump will EO the wall.
I say do it and F’em

At least they’re speaking of trying to cut a deal w/ Trump rather than sitting out.

Giving them assurances of being for free-markets and limited-govt isn’t a bad thing (pretty sure these are part of his platform, but maybe they don’t know?).

He should talk to them.

Trump is an American Nationalist who is also a Conservative Republican, which he proclaimed as far back as 1988, when he went to the REPUBLICAN national convention and not the one held by the other party.

Watch the youtube video of his interview there.

Trump is not refining the party, he is restoring the party to the conservative position is should have been. Currently the Republicans are more in tune with King Obama and have passed everything he wants. Trump will restore our values.

Trump for President.

The NeverTrump-ers goal has always been a Hillary presidency, from the very beginning and still is. Some naïve conservatives fell for their propaganda and lies, but it’s time to wake up, before you help install Hillary Clinton as president.

Here is evidence:

GOPe is in bed with the Democrats for a Hillary presidency.

THe R party is in dire need of redefinition!

Jim Robinson has written several excellent posts outlining Trumps conservatism. They are an excellent antidote to TDS and are recommended to any suffering lingering Cruz butthurt.

Trade and immigration are the only issues the nevertrump people have with Trump. They can’t come out and say it, so they just sluff it off with “he’s not conservative”.

To his website and read the portions issues and statements. What litmus test is there to being a conservative? Then look at the job that the GOP elites have given us. Trump is more conservative than 90% of them.

Got that backwards. The base is with Trump. Without the base the “party” is an empty suit. The party better start listening to its base AND Trump.

Quote from Trump spokesperson Katrina Pierson:

“The last two presidential cycles we were told John McCain was a conservative. His conservative review score card is a 37%.

We were told Mitt Romney was a conservative and he was pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, pro-adoption, gave us Obamacare. And we were told to hold our noses and vote for the sake of the party.

These same people are now telling us that because their guy didn’t win, they want to hurt the party. The issue here isn’t about Donald Trump — if you can’t hold yourself to the standard you hold everyone else to, the problem is with you.”

The bulk of the republican party has no platform and no track record to speak of.

Most all of them have moved to protect themselves first before fighting for what their voters expected them to do.

The old adage is true, the republican party has the same destination as the democrats, they just take a little longer to get there.
